My boyfriend and mine favorite restaurant!

We decided to try this place after walking by and seeing the chef making fresh dumplings. The food is Northern Chinese with Tianjin specialities. I don't understand the poor reviews. Dumplings and buns were made to order and were wonderful quality with tasty juice inside (see the pictures). Stinky tofu smelled strong in a good fermented way but still not as potent tasting as places in Asia.

Freshly make-to-order dumpings and XLB. The spareribs noodle was tasty. Foods were yummy. Price was reasonable. Highly recommended.

Came here with a friend for a quick bite before dinner. She ordered beijing black bean noodles and i got the wonton soup. The wonton soup was subpar; reminds me of something i can easily throw together in my college dorm. The meat in the wontons was very suspicious. My friend's noodles were veryyy dry and had an odd smell. We both ended up barely eating half our food and left. I was expecting better tasting, clean**, authentic food but was deeply disappointed.

Food is super tasty and very authentic, the baozi (buns) are definitely the highlight - my parents said these are the most authentic baozi they've found so far in 25 years of living in the US. Place is run entirely by an older couple, so imagine you're going to your aunt and uncle's for the afternoon - no sterling silverware here, and don't go if you're busy or pressed for time.

Loved their buns. Not frozen buns. Make to order. The texture of their dough was perfect. Not sticky to teeth. Juicy inside. Smell of the meat mixed with chives made it even better than perfect. Red bean purple rice congee has original flavor. You can add sugar to make it sweet or add salt to make it savoring. I left it as original and it was the perfect refreshing way to end my meal. Highly recommend. Definitely want to come back to try dumplings and millet congee. They open 9am to 9pm

Parking: Same lot as 99 Ranch The auntie making the baos is super sweet but the servers are a bit rude (kind of typical for Asian restaurants so don't get offended). I am giving it 1 star because the food is absolutely disgusting. I would never come back here again. Also they don't change the paper advertisement mat they put on the table. I didn't notice at the oil stains on the mat but I noticed when the waitress was cleaning up the table she didn't throw away the paper advertisement mats. So obviously she didn't wipe down the table. 1. Leek Dumplings: Leek and ginger wrapped in a dumpling skin. No meat at all. They salted the ginger and didn't do a good job mixing the ingredients. I had bites that were bland and bites that were salty. Avoid. 2. Beef Noodle Soup: This is a sad excuse for beef noodle soup. The noodles were super thick and not fully cooked through. The soup had a flour-y taste which leads me to believe that they cooked the noodles in the soup or used the noodle water to dilute the soup. The beef was bland and dry. I love cilantro and it adds depth of flavors when mixed with hot soup. The soup was not hot. You can not even make tea from that warm water. 3. Beef Pancake: The skin was crunchy but same issue the beef was bland and dry and there was little to no hoisin sauce. It was fairly large but if it tastes like cardboard, is it worth it?

The name of this place leaves something to be desired. My cousin brought me here because she swears they have the best steamed dumplings. It's a hole in the wall shop located in an extremely busy shopping center. Finding parking is a struggle. But if you do happen to find a spot, check out this place. I got the steamed pork and leek dumplings to go. I was not disappointed. The dumpling skin was perfect, not too thin or thick. The filling was super tasty. You can watch the lady make the fresh dumplings. I do think it's a bit pricey.

Great food, made to order. Delicious juicy lamb meat pie and jian bing. Service is slow like others say but overall left satisfied.

New favorite baozi spot ...someone mentioned that the baozi were small....but in my opinion the portion size is very generous. Favorite new spot with very authentic food.

Place is average but the baozi is incredible! Best baozi in the US

I tried Garage for the first time today and really enjoyed it! Not sure why it has such low reviews. The service was quick and food came out fast. I ordered the beef pancakes and beef noodle (forgot to take a pic of noodles out of greed and hunger). The portions were just enough for 2 people and was super cheap! I liked the beef pancakes a lot. Just a warning for people who don't like cilantro: the beef pancakes have a lot of cilantro. I personally don't like cilantro that much but I could still eat them and enjoyed them. The broth of the beef noodle was good but not super flavorful. BUT if you add the chili oil sauce that every table has, then it's flavor city. I would probably come again and try some other dishes!

We were recommended this place when we were discussing stinky tofu with the optometrist next door. So we went to have breakfast there first thing in the morning. Yes, it's hard to communicate because they only speak Chinese so we just pointed to the menu. But they were friendly we didn't have to wait long for anything. We ordered the soy milk which was warm and fresh. The sticky purple rice was good so was the wonton soup and the stinky tofu (beware: very pungent but taste nothing like it smells, it was pretty good.) The only thing we would pass on is the onion pancake with the long Chinese donut. Portions sizes are rather large and filling, so careful not to over order like we did. Overall my kids said they would come back.
