It's funny. I've been to this restaurant several times. The food is really good and the male waiter has a nice attitude. But today, a few of our friends came to eat and it was really eye-opening. The two female waiters were absolutely superb and grumpy. In order to attract more tables, they were unwilling to give us two small tables and pointed at one table. The person who was writing the bill and had no intention of leaving said that we should wait for them. During the conversation, the attitude was very bad. I wanted to yell at them at that time, but I couldn't hold it back. There was no service other than serving food. The funniest thing was that they asked them to add rice, but they took the rice bucket away and didn't get it back until the checkout. We gave a 5% tip for such poor service, but they still had the nerve to chase us and ask us to tip more. We said we were sorry for the poor service today, but they just told us not to come back again in the future. xs, your dishes are really just like this, they are not irreplaceable enough to support your lousy service.

Poorass service, waitresses there don’t know how to respect their customers, awful attitude, if you don’t want to serve your customers then close your restaurant. 不懂的尊重人的服務生讓人唾棄。我們開心來吃飯,請問你是什麼態度?they first assigned a table to us, then let other customers to sit in, when we asked why, the lady(that’s in the pic) used terrible attitude to answer us cuz they have other table ready for us(when the customers at that table still eating). We tipped them 5% due to their awful service, then they threatened us to never come to this restaurant again. SURE, WE SHOULDNT EVEN TIP YOU!

I really don’t recommend it. It’s not worth the wait time. The order of serving dishes is weird and you won’t get your turn until the dishes in front are served. I’m even more speechless about the hygiene. I watched a female waiter clearing the table and a dirty towel wiping the table. I only wiped it once because I wanted to take a photo of the waiter looking at me. One of the chairs at our table actually had a lot of oily rice grains dropped from it when the table was being wiped. I didn't sit on it because I was lucky or had good eyesight. The meat slices in the dishes I ordered were all cut by machines. I could see the back from my seat. Chef Chu Yi was changing the large meat slices cut by machine into small slices. The boiled beef was actually served with mung bean sprouts as the base. The boss also said that he had always done it this way, and there were also all the bean sprouts and garlic sprouts left. The meat slices are old, hard and shredded. The so-called meat slices should be shredded when cut by a machine. The stir-fried pork liver with leeks was the reason my wife invited me to eat it. Not to mention the chopped pork liver, the pork liver It was also machine-cut without pulp and low-temperature lubricating oil, so it had a strong organ smell. I can’t bear to cut the old part of the leek and I don’t have time to cut it, which will affect the dish. Let’s talk about the stir-fried kidneys. After removing the smell, the kidneys still feel old and hard after being overcooked for a long time, so the side dishes of chili peppers are changed to different sizes with a knife. I don’t have time to baste the meat slices, so I don’t have time to baste the chili peppers with oil. Therefore, the larger peppers are not cut off when eaten. The level of this chef is far worse than that of domestic fly restaurants. It is not because I am also a chef and deliberately make mistakes. The level of hygiene and ingredients is really disappointing to the diners queuing up. The good business may be because there are really no good Hunan restaurants in Los Angeles. When paying the bill, I actually licked my face and tipped at least 18%. Three dishes for two people cost 70.53 yuan, regardless of the price, so everything is not worth it. It’s not worth it. It’s not worth queuing. Wait??????

One male waiter had a very bad attitude. He forgot to call the number and blamed the mistake on us. We will come back but won't leave any tips.

Definitely the best Sichuan and Hunan cuisine in Los Angeles! There is ample parking and the queue is quick!

It was quite spicy; but as a Hunanese, I said it was not authentic enough. I ordered native chicken, steamed fish and eggplant and beans; I felt very uncomfortable after eating it?

Coming the culinary desert (where Chinese dishes have small portions with higher prices and many are pre-made), we really like the food here. The dishes are delicious; we've been eating here for three consecutive days after 1-h drive everyday and want to take some back! No service is fine as the food itself is really great.

The most authentic Hunan cuisine I had in California, very flavorful and not too oily, the portion is huge too. I will definitely come back this place if I’m in LA area.

We have been to this restaurant many times. The food is good, but the service is horrible and is getting worse. Last month, we dined there. One popular dish we ordered was intentionally not served for 1 hour until we finished our lunch. They kept serving other people who arrived much later than us to make them happy. Apparently we got 3 dishes so we should keep waiting. This was really annoying!! They ignored our demand to serve our dish and treated us very rude. We were not happy and left them a few tips. Then we found out they charged us much more than we signed on our bill. They were stealers!! I was a fan of this restaurant and went there almost 1-2 times every month. Now I would never go to this restaurant. There are many other similar options. They are not honest and very rude!

Bad food, bad service, high price. 0 star, NOT recommend at all, worst restaurant experience ever in LA!

As a non-native LAX, the food is solid. In comparison to Vancouver and Houston, it was on par for solid Chinese food.Their pork with chili dish was average. Fine for $22. Their potato dish was fine — 3 star. Their white rice, 3 star. But their water spinach, although different from Cantonese style, I actually enjoyed it.Service? We ordered the fish and later they realized that they didn’t cook it. But it was plenty of food for 2 people (with 3 dishes) so we didn’t care either way so skipped it. Meal $60-plus tip for 2 people.Overall, I can see why the average score is a 3.4 star but for me, I simply rounded up.

Our company recently had a team lunch at Hunan Chilliking, located in San Gabriel city, in the same plaza as Yifang Fruit Tea, this restaurant promises an authentic taste of Hunan cuisine.Firstly, I must address the parking situation, which proved to be a bit of a challenge. The parking lot is small, and at times, finding a spot can be quite a task. So, carpooling or arriving early might be a good idea, especially for larger groups. For those in our team who aren't accustomed to spicy food, it was crucial to have the dishes adjusted to their liking. Without moderating the spiciness, some found the heat a bit overwhelming. However, the staff was accommodating and happy to modify the spice levels, ensuring everyone could enjoy their meal. Now, onto the highlight of the lunch - the steamed egg (non-spicy)! This dish was an absolute winner, and we couldn't get enough of its velvety smoothness and mouthwatering taste. One thing that stood out throughout the meal was the masterful execution of every dish. Each plate was skillfully stir-fried, resulting in an irresistible aroma that instantly stimulated our appetites. The flavors were top-notch, making it hard to resist going back for seconds (and even thirds!).
