I wanted to try this place as someone whose family frequents Mama Lu’s (which they try to pass themselves off as on here to drive analytic traffic). I took my disabled elderly dad here just before noon yesterday with the rest of my family for lunch — surprise! They’re closed for renovations. No sign on the door. No visible announcement. They also go by another name than Mama’s Dumpling House, as another reviewer said.I really wanted to try their Chicken XLB; now I’m not interested in giving them a chance. Especially now that Trader Joe’s sells a similar product in their frozen section. Google is rejecting my edits to mark them as TEMPORARILY CLOSED FOR RENOVATIONS. How can they be open if most of their kitchen equipment is being redone, the walls repainted, no chairs/tables, completely empty business, and one of those realtor style lockboxes on the door? Shame on them, especially for not having a sign explaining why. 你憑什麼沒說你現在不開門?

ACCESSIBILITY/PARKING:Located in a large plaza with lots of parking, no issue at all.WAIT:Got seated right away during 12 pm lunch rush on a Friday.AMBIANCE:It is a typical comfort food restaurant with booths and large round tables for larger groups. Music was playing at a reasonable volume, and we could hear each other at the table nicely.FOOD:Black Pepper Beef Tenderloin Stir Fried Udon: This was SOOO good, the meat was incredibly tender, and the black pepper sauce really came through with the perfectly cooked noodles! Personally, udon noodles should have a chewy bite throughout while maintaining it's shape and not falling to pieces.Beef Wrap: VERY yummy and had great seasoning on the beef, with good proportions of beef to cilantro.Juicy Pork Dumplings: MUST GET, very juicy and flavorful with the perfectly julienned ginger and chili oilCorn & Egg Soup: Thick consistency with great corn flavor - if you love corn, you NEED to try!DRINKS:We got hot tea which was tasty and complemented the food nicelySERVICE:Food came out fast and was responsive when we needed something.$:VERY affordable, with tip included for the above dishes and tea it came out to $64! They accept cash/card. OVERALL:DEFINITELY coming back to try more of their menu items! I enjoyed every dish which makes me excited to try everything else. The food was extremely comforting and tasty, nothing lacked flavor, and it was so affordable, how can you not love this place?

A review from a local! We saw the name change outside and assumed it turned into a different restaurant. Thankfully, it didn't! We've never had a disappointing meal here. The menu is still the same. I'm glad they survived the pandemic. Come and give this place a try! Our favorites are beef chow fun, xiao long bao and basically any of their noodle dishes. We came a little early for lunch today and their rice noodle delivery person didn't arrive yet. So they recommended an stir fry beef udon dish. Perfectly peppery! Service is friendly and quick. Enjoyed their house tea. Appreciated their table side home made hot sauce. Thank you for the wonderful meal today. One more thing....There's more than one mama in the world lol. Trust that their chefs know how to cook in this house.

The food was amazing. Seems authentic Chinese cuisine, and the price is budget friendly. The shrimp was delicious. The fish with seaweed was fresh. We ordered 5 different dishes, and the total bill with the 15% tip came to $60. There are tons of free parking. The service was not bad. The only negative was that there was a homeless person inside the restaurant walking left and right in front of our table, which was annoying. The restaurant manager should pay attention and not allow things like that to distract the guests. Other than that, we enjoyed the food and highly recommend it if you want to try fresh authentic Chinese cuisine.Vegetarian options: Yes available.Parking: Free parking. More than 100 parking spots.

Was so impressed I had to end my Yelp review hiatus just to give this place some props. Although on Yelp it's named Deli Kingdom, when we were there the menu displayed Mama's Dumpling House, so just to clarify any confusion. Now on to the good stuff. The hubby and I have ordered green onion pancake at every spot that has them. So we've become somewhat of a green onion pancake connoisseur haha. And this spot does it right. It was thin with lots of flavor and most of all, crispy :D Definitely the best imo. Next up was the crispy pan fried seafood noodles, which I also order very often at various hk cafes. Very tasty. Best of all was the kind of extra thin egg noodles used, never had that and it was good. Hubby ordered the beef stew noodles and it was ok. The meat could have been a little more tender. Flavor in the soup was on point though. He liked that and everything else. Parking was easy as it had it's own parking lot in front. The atmosphere and environment inside was very comfortable and modern. Looked like it was newly renovated with the booths, tables, walls, and cabinets. And yes that stuff also matters to me! Another notable mention was the impeccable service. The lady who helped us was so sweet, accommodating, and friendly. That alone made me want to keep coming back, had it not been for the extensive menu and overall deliciousness. Awesome place with lots of great positives. Way, way too underrated.New recent photos posted.

On a high recommendation by my friend Leanne we came for dinner. It wasn't super busy on a Thursday night but it should be. This place is way underrated in my opinion. Here's what we ordered:Seaweed fish: definitely the way to go here! They use a mild tasting fish (I'm guessing tilapia, but please don't tell me, I'm not a tilapia fan) with a light flavorful batter laced with seaweed. Chinese Broccoli: We asked what vegetable was good (or in season) right now and ordered what they recommended. Honestly, this might have been the simplest, most flavorful veggie dish I've ordered in a restaurant. It was the clean oil and the little nuggets of dried shrimp (or whatever they were) that made this dish standout....maybe even over the all the protein dishes. Soup Dumplings #1: Because they only had #1 or #2 available. I really wanted the pork & crab ones but settled for #1. While these were flavorful enough the wrapper was a little thick and I would have liked a little more soup inside.S&P Pork Chops: These were good, not over cooked, lightly coated. Beef Chow Fun: Decent wok flavor (without this we cannot even discuss the dish), good chew on the noodles. I would have liked a few smaller pieces of beef but more of it.The waitress was awesome! She had a smile on her face every time she came to the table no matter what we asked for or how difficult we may have been. I think I tipped her 30% because she was so smiley and such a pleasant host/server.Parking is super easy and plentiful in this strip mall.

I've visited this restaurant several times now for take-out and dine-in. I was really happy with the cook on the food. Vegetables, meats, noodles, etc., were all cooked to perfection. Nothing was over cooked or undercooked and in my opinion, nicely seasoned and flavorful. I was happy with the service and friendliness of their staff. Food came out quickly. I think people are afraid to eat here because it's often empty inside but my honest opinion, if people take my word for it, this is definitely a hidden gem for really good food at affordable prices versus the inflating prices of many other restaurants in the area. If you're in this plaza and can't figure out where to eat, give this place a try.

Don't be scared. You order from Mama's Dumplings, but now, they've changed their name to Deli Kingdom. Same location, same menu, different name. I wouldn't have known this if the boss didn't catch me looking confused at the front, staring at my phone, bewildered.

Soooo disappointed. I ordered the xlb, spicy dumplings, and cucumbers. Xlb had no soup! That was the main reason why I wanted it. Spicy dumplings had no spice. And the cucumbers?? Oh my god. They just used the sweet chili sauce that is typically used for popcorn chicken dipping sauce. The level of sadness I am at is indescribable. Also I don't even think this place is Mama Lu's anymore because the storefront name was different.

Don't be fooled by the location and curbside appeal. Dishes are unique, delicious, and NOT greasy at all. Even the ginger green onion for the chicken is NOT salty as well. Feel free to ask for low sodium, less oil, and NO MSG. The chef will follow the order and deliver.

I've been here a few times now... food is always fresh. I have ordered take-out and dine-in. The owner (I think) is always kind to me. I consistently order the rice cakes, oh and the Indonesian Fried Rice too... and umm let's see the Chive fried pancakes were pretty good too. Soup dumplings are best eaten there on site BTW. Ample parking and non-rushed atmosphere not to mention cold beer makes this a pretty cool place for lunch. Respectfully Reviewed.

They increased the price of the food substantially, which is understandable due to inflation. However, the quality of food is highly compromised and the portion significantly decreased. We ordered steamed sea bass and it's stinky and gross! The seafood noodles we ordered had barely any seafood in it. The beef entree is a joke - the beef is chewy and super fat. Barely any meat and most of the dish is garnish. What a great let down because it used to be one of my favorite restaurants. I will not return anymore!!!!

So good! Recommend the spicy dumplings and Freon onion pancake! Service was excellent, nice and clean, it was really good, definitely coming back again.
