Really wanted to try this spot however it was closed. 1 star solely based on how my girlfriend and I were treated when we walked up on a Monday night. Yelp had said they were open so we stopped by for a quick bite. Door was open so we went up, but the restaurant looked half closed. I asked the person there if they were open, and he gave a snarky look and said "does it look like we're open?" and proceeded to crack open a beer with his friend who was waiting outside. Definitely won't be back after that interaction. You could have just stated you were closed. Don't be an a** about it.

Just came at 7pm on a Monday. The door was open but the open sign wasn't lit up. We walked up to ask if they were open and got an extremely rude "does it look like we're open?!" Does it hurt to be polite nowadays?

DELICIOUS!!! It was me and brothers first time trying hotpot, the waiter took his time explaining different favorable combinations as well as explaining how to go about cooking things. In short he was our babysitter and a good one at that. We quickly felt welcomed and became comfortable with the new experience. Of course this would all be secondary if the food itself wasn't any good, however it was absolutely delicious we were completely and utterly satisfied with the experience. We whole heartedly recommend this place to anyone and everyone. In short great service and even better food. Others have complained about broken Ac as well as the lack of an english menu. The AC is now fixed and they provided a translated menu in english

Absolutely do not come here. The AC when I went, was said to be broken, and from what the other reviews have said, it seems that the AC has been broken for months with no signs of it being fixed any time soon. Either that or the store owner is just too cheap to put on AC. From what I see around the restaurant, it's likely the latter. The food was expensive with a very limited menu and no AYCE option available like a lot of the other reviews have said. There also isn't an English menu. Thankfully I can read Chinese fluently so that I could read it and explain everything to my friends. All the pictures you see on here, you can basically throw it all out the window, because nothing applies anymore. I'm assuming that the place has changed management, and now do tempura skewers on the side, I didn't personally try any, but it's a hot pot place: You don't go to a hot pot place to eat deep-fried food. If I wanted to eat tempura, I would go to a tempura restaurant. Despite the window having VISA/MasterCard and various other credit card company's logo on it, they actually do not accept any credit cards and requires you to either pay cash or use Venmo. So if you, despite reading all of this, still decide to venture into this hellhole, make sure you have lots of cash handy so they can rip those off of you. I was so embarrassed to have invited my friends to this place for them to enjoy some hotpot with me. Will definitely pick a different place next time. 0/10.

10/10 for the Spicy Oni Pot 1/10 for the sauces 2/10 for the service There was literally no one else there and the waiter came to us one time to ask if we needed a refill on water. I asked for two sets of the sauces and he only gave me one, so my boyfriend and I had to share the sauces - Sate sauce was nothing but oil. I was expecting some bomb a** hot pot and this place was mediocre at best. The ac wasn't on so it was hot AF in there. The internet wasn't working and we weren't aware of it until after the fact. Would've been nice to know ahead of time. Probably would've chosen another spot. ALSOOOO they did not have rice. LIKE WTF? Okay I am done.

They don't open the air conditioner which is unacceptable in such hot summer day, especially we are here for eating hot pot!! Meat and veg plate are large bowls but small amount. Hot pot soup seems they just mix water with oil and pepper. I can say I make a better one at home. We also ordered deep fried combo. All taste same. Without looking, I even can't figure out what I am eating. The bill finally come to 109$. I even barely eat and we only have 2 meat. So overpriced! If you find this restaurant and see my review, please believe me, go find other hot pot place. You will thanks me.

Worst hot pot place ever. They now changed their owner, and turn out some sort of hotpot and skewers place, bad service, food not fresh, expensive. Avoid this place

Very well organised and welcoming place. They serve generous meals and for inexpensive rates. We liked the menu a lot and the staff members were very welcoming and chatty. Recommended.

The all-you-can-eat plan was really good and affordable! There were lot of items to choose from and the portions were huge! Perfect for both meat lovers and vegans. The interior decor was contemporary and the atmosphere was relaxing. Would like to visit again!

Delicious hotpot spot! I got the oni soup base which is spicy, but not so spicy to the point where it was uncomfortable. There is a great selection of meats and toppings, and I personally think the ribeye beef was the best cut. The service was great and so was the food, I was thoroughly satisfied with my experience!

Stopped by for AYCE dinner at Oni Hot Pot and left feeling satisfied and full! They also have a regular combo menu if you're not looking to eat too much. We ordered the Oni Hot Pot and Oni Satay soup bases - the Oni Hot Pot has 3 chili signs but don't be afraid! It's not super spicy! It's mostly flavor. There are a bunch of sides you can add (yay) like fish balls, crab sticks, tofu skin, taro, potato, etc. and you can add rice, udon, or glass noodles to your hotpot too! The veggie bowl is pretty big, definitely shareable between at least 2 people. Service is A+, they're very attentive with making sure that you have everything you need and that your meal is satisfactory! They came by and refilled my water and soup base a few times! If you're in the area, check them out!

AYCE Hot Pot! One of my favorite types. I came on a Saturday right when they opened so parking in the plaza wasn't a problem. I love the different options that they have. If you're not doing the combo, then you can do All You Can Eat. AYCE Lunch is $17 and Dinner is $21. However, if you decide to upgrade your soup or some of your meat, it will cost extra. SOUP: You can either choose from the free options or pay a little bit more for more flavors. We went with Satay and Spicy Oni. I heard the tomato or milk and cheese one was good too so I'd want to try those next time. MEAT: There are a lot of meat and seafood options to choose from. If you pay a bit more, you can get New Zealand Lamb, Shrimp, and some others. VEGGIES & EXTRAS: There's a veggie platter that you can get. It's big! You can also get extra add ones like tofu, fish cake, fish balls, tofu skin, taro, etc. I would have liked to see more mushroom or corn options. They also have a sauce station for you to make your own dipping sauce. Overall, I had a great time and it was a perfect lunch on a cold day! -@eatwithkim on IG

Craving hot pot? Needing something warm to eat? Want something comforting? Oni Hot pot is the go to spot! They have lots of broths to choose from. Such a great price for AYCE! Lunch is $16.99 and Dinner is $20.99; Kids ages 0-3 is free & ages 4-10 is 30% off. Time limit is 90 minutes. Ordered: *Cheese milk broth - tasted exactly like clam chowder! So that was so TASTY!! And very unique if you ask me! *Curry broth - has a slight kick so if you like spicy this might be a great choice. *New Zealand Lamb *Meatball *Imitation crab meat *beef belly *rib eye *udon *rice *glass noodles *top blade *mushroom All of the meat cuts were exceptional. Great meat quality! Everything comes out beautifully plated. Definitely instagramable! There's a table in the middle of the room that you can fill the small trays with garlic, green onions, cilantro, and various sauces. Restaurant is very modern and clean. This Yelper was super pleased. My daughter ate like a whole bowl by herself (mind you she's 4). And usually she doesn't eat that much food. So she truly enjoyed the food and I was super happy. I bet you would enjoy the food too! This yelper and future yelper approves! 2 thumbs up! You bet I'll be returning to get my hot pot fix on! Tips: *Shared parking spots with other businesses. *Cash and credit card accepted. *Restroom available *High chair available *18% gratuities is added for parties of 8 or more. *No to go with this AYCE

Curry soup base and cheese milk are the best!!! Came here for lunch , a bit busy, the food quality is very good compared to other place around San Gabriel area, veggie plate comes with combo, 5oz meat is good enough for one person, but I think the toro was a little too fatty, order top blade if you don't like fatty meat. Will come back

Always my first choice of small hot pot! I came here almost every of my first online dating meet since it's opening. Tomato and milk soup taste gooooood, meat and vegetables are fresh! The environment is good and clean. Price is a little high but worth it
