Just saw a post, yelpers reported this restaurant is Closed. I came here 2017 to dine-in and ordered Shanghai vegetables noodles. I liked the flavor and the texture of the noodles is cooked perfectly. Thank you to the chef. Friendly and clean restaurant.

Very delicious dinner, but the place is small and does not take reservations, we had to wait almost an hour even getting there at 5:30!

Drove 1.5 hours from south bay to try this. Authentic and delicious suzhou dish, best sweet sour spare rib ever in CA and bay area! Hope you guys think about open a second location in south bay area!

Dawg the hong shou Roy is not as good anymore. My nipples only reached mild tenderness last time I came to grub at this joint

We ordered the xiao long bao and the pan fried pork buns. First, the xiao long Bao skin is very thick and it breaks on the bottom so all the juice leaked out before you have a chance to slurp the juice. The meat is flavorful but hard. The pan fried pork bun has the same meat filling as the xiao long Bao. The skin again is very thick. I feel the bun can have more flavor. The bottom is crunchy but I had better elsewhere.

I would highly recommend this place! The service is so nice! I'm a traveler(with a suitcase), and ordered something by my own mistake. After I wanted to order another entree, they asked me if I could finish all the food. Then I explained that I ordered something wrong, they voluntarily cancelled my previous order and paced a new order for me with no surcharge. I really appreciate the service in this restaurant.

I visited on a weekend for an early lunch. I loved the the attention and tips the waitress gave our table, but it was a bit hard to get their attention. We ordered 4-5 dishes to share between 2 people. I think would be more than enough, but for us it was out right since we were starving. Loved how the waitress suggested us to order the soup dumplings and pan friend buns first since they're made to order. I was disappointed in the soup dumplings because the wrapper did not hold up well and the dumpling popped before the whole dumpling could be pried off the steamer tray. The food was truly made to order (definitely burned my tongue a bit). The beef dish we ordered had a lot meat compared to the amount of vegetables, which is quite rare. The rice cake dish was a bit sad and was a small dish. I'm not sure how to describe the dish other than I was eating dough? My favorites were definitely the beef and green onion pancake (though a bit oily).

it's about as good a Shanghainese restaurant you can find out here, and at a very reasonable price too.

Shanghainese food - flavor of most dishes are ok, nothing special or outstanding. We got the fish slice in wine sauce, which is usually is thick, but here, the sauce was pretty watered down/liquidy. The xiao long bao and sheng jeng bao were decent - flavor was slightly lacking, but it's not bad. At least the baos had a good amount of juice inside. Price is good here.

Cosy restaurant serving good Chinese food with specialties in Shanghai dishes. Parking was reasonably available in the attached lot marked under Emperor Noodles signs. There is also limited street parking around the block. You can enter through the front or the back of the restaurant. The inside was well kept and neat but seating was limited to a few tables with only two large tables available for larger parties. There is 1 restroom available near the back entrance that is dual gendered. My visit was with a reservation for 9 people. The host was very gracious as most of our party arrived significantly late but they still accommodated our party. (Note it was not a full house when I came for lunch though.) Order speed was reasonable but not very fast. I would not recommend expecting to be able to eat in and out quickly if you have limited time. Food was great although my friends where the ones who knew what to order. One of them is from Shanghai and another from a province close by and they endorsed the food as authentic and well made. I really liked the Shanghai fried rice cakes. The savory soup was also excellent. The staff reliably refilled the teapot and checked on us. They were friendly and helpful. Very nice place to come for a meal with friends.

Authenticate shanhgainese food!! We had 14 dishes between 9 people. Everyone loved it. They had the eel, smoked fish, and Sheng Jian Bao and satisfied my food craving. Price is good too!
