They are known for their 譚仔阿姐 with her infamously quirky-accented Cantonese, and if you're expecting that, sorry! Service was nice though, just a little rough around the edges with some of the staff. Still not bad, and still professional.Food is decently priced, and not bad. Didn't disappoint at all! I'm glad I tried their house noodles they're famous for ?. The 魚蛋 (fish ball) is not shaped like a ball, more like they just scooped it and then made it in that shape without balling it up, but that's OK! Actually makes it easier to pick up with chopsticks ?. After finishing halfway through, I thought the toppings:noodle ratio was good, but was afraid the soup ratio to both might have been lacking. But really, the shape of the bowl is much deeper than you think. In the end, the Noodle:Topping:Broth ratio was actually PERFECT ?!My friend had the 雙拼湯麵 (Two-Topping Soup Noodles) with 雲吞 (Wonton) & 牛腩( Beef Plate), which is normally my go-to. He's not a thin noodles guy, but he thought it was flavorful. Plus, the noodles were springy!Their 蝦腸粉 (Shrimp Rice Rolls) looked a little messy, but was really good! Sauce was savory, slightly sweet, and the rice rolls themselves were really smooth! Wrinkly and folded up, yes, but it's the softest and smoothest I've had in a while.咖央西多士 (Kaya Toast) was interesting! If you're wondering what Kaya is, it's coconut jam. Admittedly though, the spread inside was a bit too thin for me. I would've liked a more liberal lathering of that Kaya. Otherwise, the cut of the thick bread ? all toasted up with egg batter around was OK. I wonder how it would've been if they soaked that bread in milk ahead of time though... ? Still worth ordering! Oh, and they bring out a thing of 蜜糖honey ? for it, but I'd rather pour the 煉奶 condensed milk over it, that's intended for the 奶茶 (milk tea).Which leads me to the segue into 奶茶. A little tame. Not heavy on the flavor. Really needed the condensed milk to give it some. But a good milk tea should have that nice Assam Tea smell to it. Although, not a lot of good milk tea places around the area, so what's given here is about par average.Parking: Parking used to be easy here, despite the weird design of the lot, which has more parking on the bottom. But then, the restaurant options got better, and holy mackerel! It got SUPER tight! Navigating here is no joke! People are trying to come in and out, you don't know whose coming from where, or how to fit.

People say this place sells real Hong Kong food. I'm not sure of that's true but the food is good.

Came here around noon on the weekend and while parking was difficult, we got seated right away. We ordered many dishes and overall things were delicious! Would definitely come back here again to try more - the menu is really extensive! (Also, the dish numbers seem to change depending on what version of the menu you're looking at.)128. Steamed rice rolls with beef: delicious and great chewy texture - highly recommend! 5/56. French toast with kaya: delicious! 5/513. Curry with fish balls and cuttlefish: pleasantly surprised, good broth flavor and flavorful meatballs 5/5116. You Tiao/fried dough: great taste and texture, good solo & paired with soup 5/575. Fried rice with dried scallops and egg whites: tastes good, as expected 4/5#??. Pumpkin with salted egg yolk (comes with white rice): tastes pretty good 4/5136. HK Style Milk Tea: Comes unsweetened so be prepared to add what sugar you need. Otherwise the tea is brewed nice and strong and can leave a dry mouth aftertaste. Once sweetened (I added condensed milk) it tastes much better. 3/5

One of our absolute faves! Breakfast deals for $12 congee, a noodle side, coffee and the bolo bun! Afternoon Snack deals from 3-5pm for $12-$15 you get a drink and one of their main dishes from soup, stir fry noodles, wonton noodles soup, minced pork over rice and egg, and a choice drink of Hong Kong style milk tea, coffee or lemon iced tea- again a steal!Dinner variety comes in full force and is also just absolutely good and decently priced! We find ourselves dining here so much because the food and service are good!Must haves are the pork and century egg congee, Chinese donuts that you dip into that hot congee, minced pork over hot rice and egg, beef tendon noodle dish with the nice beef broth on the side, crispy salt and pepper tofu, the sesame noodle dish that comes with the breakfast combo for something sweet and savory and their bolo buns- I always order extra to take home.Their coffee is truly truly delish! Not lacking in boat and flavor! This is indeed like the local Hong Kong style cafes - simple dishes, awesome drinks, coffee and milk tea, I find myself craving as I am writing this and may just have another visit today!

Been wanting to try this place after several recommendations from friends who've lived in Hong Kong and enjoyed it. Came on a Wednesday morning around 9. No wait, found a table in the corner, and hailed down a server. Warning to those expecting table service - we were served our food and never saw our servers again. Lol! But the food is the reason we come so just have to forgo expecting good service. We ordered the breakfast set which is $12.99. I picked the century old egg congee, noodles with sesame peanut sauce, and the pineapple bun with butter. The congee was HUGE and flavorful. Lots of egg so can't complain. The sesame peanut sauce was yummy but maybe an acquired taste. As for the pineapple bun, I was expecting more butter - haha! Yes, everything is better with butter. And lots of it! I was hoping to get refills on the milk tea but server was never to be found the whole time we ate. And we took a long time eating too. Oh well. I guess that's a way to avoid providing refills. By the way, you sweeten the tea yourself with the condensed milk at the table. There was enough leftover food for lunch for two so definitely a good deal. Would give it 5 stars if they refilled my tea. Lol!

Got here around 9:15 in the morning on a Sunday and got seated right away but a line quickly formed after. We got the breakfast combo with one congee, two sides, and a drink. I ordered the congee with chicken (with bones in) and the pineapple bun and mixed sauce rice rolls (sesame and peanut sauce) as sides as well as Hong Kong milk tea.Everything is sooooo authentic and the portion is huge! Will definitely leave you feeling full! There are indoor and outdoor seating and there is parking in the plaza (there are more parking on the lower level).Would definitely be back! Highly recommend if you are craving authentic Cantonese breakfast!

Tam's Noodle House has some legit Cantonese/Hong Kong food here. They're situated in the corner of the plaza and they have outdoor seating, which is really nice on a warm day. We got the shrimp roe noodles with wontons and beef brisket and that was probably my favorite. The noodles had such a great chewy and wavy texture that was perfectly coated by the sauce. Brisket was full of flavor and same with the wontons. We also got the egg noodle soup with wontons and pork knuckles which was also really good. The char siu rice roll was very thin and the sauce was very sweet and savory. Very addicting. The pineapple bun with butter is a classic and they served it warm. The coconut crust on top had a really good toasted texture. Service was also really prompt and efficient. Can't say enough good things about Tam's Noodle House.

We tried this classic HK style cafe roughly at 4 PM and found it with a variety of Cantonese food like congee, noodles, fried rice, rice rolls and many dishes. And many beverages like milk tea and lemon tea. What's more, when I was sitting there, TV was broadcasting HK morning news. Can tell the accent that the waiter must be from HK and many Cantonese speaking locals enjoyed this cafe. All noodles are quite authentic as you can expect from HK. We later ordered a dish of Garlic Choi Sum and it also tasted good. We would recommend you check it out when you are around St Gabriel and want something from HK cafe.

4 star for the price and service The congee didn't taste as good as before. Rice noodle and pineapple bun ok. Best was the satay beef instant noodle. Milk tea still good.
