One of the best dessert places I've known, but it's the first time to try its drinks, taste so good and fresh, love it!

Variety of exotic Asian fruit flavor sponge caked. Friendly service. Pricey. Cakes were ok, not worth the cost

The fluffy Pork Sung Salted Egg Yolk bread poster draws me into the store. Yu Cake is not your typical Asian bakery. They have flavors and items that I have not seen before, like Mochi Mochi Brown Sugar bread. The store itself has a classy high-end feel to it. It's like I step in to Louis Vuitton of bakery - LOLI asked the worker the shelf life for the loaf of bread. It's weird that she told me two days, even though it was baked that day. I assumed it should last up to 5 days if I put it in the fridge. Of course, I purchased the Pork Sung Salted Egg Yolk bread because I was really curious about the taste. It was fluffy and soft, but not enough pork floss or salted egg yolk. I expected savory and stronger flavors. For $17 a loaf, I don't think it's worth it. Surprisingly, the Uji Matcha Snowflake Chewy Cube was absolutely delicious! The combination of cookies, marshmallows, dried mango, and nuts is so addicting. We ate the whole jar in our car ride home before I could take a close-up picture. I didn't try their cakes this time, but it seems like that's their signature. The Mango crepe cake looks incredible.

Not sure why so many ppl left negative reviews. I just went for the first time for the mochi dessert and it was THE BEST MOCHI I’ve ever had in my life, including everywhere in Japan, China or Korea. Also, the flavor is very light and not so sweet or overpowering which why I love about this place. Will drive another hour just for their mochi again and again.

The place is cute and the pastries well presented but the most important part, the pastries are simply tasteless the only overpowering feeling in my mouth was butter! I really wanted to like this place as I was exited with their visuals but unfortunately the taste didn’t follow. The taro mille crepe didn’t taste like taro at all and the tiramisu was so heavy and greasy, way too much heavy cream for not enough cake. I would recommend working more on balancing your recipes & good luck:)

First time at Yu Cake. Was blown away by the pretty packaging and the hefty price tag. It has to be good, right???... picked up a slice of Tiramisu Mille Crepe Cake Slice for almost $10, which was disappointing. Lots of heavy cream, barely any chocolate and just chocolate powder, and kind of bland. I also got a half-baked Japanese cheesecake for my neighbor. Haven't heard any feedback yet.I ordered a black sesame mochi with crispy butter chips, but the wait was 15/20 mins. I told them to cancel the order because my driver wasn't going to have the patience to wait for me for another 15 mins for me. :-(

It's my first time visiting Yu Cake today. They were offering 30% today on Panda today, so I decided to give it a try. Ordered Taro Mochi Milk Tea via the app and spent less than $5, truly a great deal in LA since most of the milk tea are $7 or above. The drink is also good. The mochi is chewy, and addicting. But I wanted to deduct one star because the milk tea is too sweet. I have to dilute it with some milk so I can finish it. Suggestion: I wanted to suggest the business owner to make the sweetness level adjustable. Since not everyone can handle too much sugar. Note: the store vibe is always slow. But still worth to give it a try.

There are plenty of options when you come to this cake spot but only if they have not run out of things! Picked up the following to-go:- White peach oolong cream cheese - 3/5 - not particularly great either but neutral- Hawthorn/osmanthus fragrance box 2/5 - too tart :( wouldn't order this one except that it may go better with something else- Rose oolong box - 5/5 ***** delicious and it had pieces of lychee inside

I've been here more than once. The cakes I've tried were delicious, I wish I could've tried more before I left the area. I will be back for more and with more friends so there's more options! Lol.
