Surprised this is so highly rated. I had a bad experience. I ordered the guac and chips, fish tacos, and steak burrito. The guac and chips ($11) had 15 small chips with about a tennis ball size of guac. The guac was good but nothing exceptional and the chips were not fresh. We ran out of chips and still had half the guac. Extremely small portions for $11. They really skimped on the chips. The fish tacos ($18) were the smallest tacos I have ever seen in my life. It was embarrassing to be served this infant sized meal . The size of the fish in each taco was smaller than 2 quarters. These were the worst tacos I have ever had.The steak burrito ($19) came with more chips than the guac. It was decently filled and had some flavor but was not anything to write home about, however It was the best out of everything I ordered. This place is way overpriced for the portions they serve. The flavor and quality is subpar and average if not below average. Also the hours are not updated here, they close at 3pm on Sunday (the day I ate here)

Spacious and clean restaurant that's tucked away. Went for happy hour. It wasn't that crowded on a weekday. Food was good and plenty. I'd come again to try other dishes!

Great ambience, clean and modern. All the food was amazing, we had the chile relleno and chicken mole enchilada and both were delicious. There's desserts off the menu, we had the tres leches which is made to look like a potted plant and the "soil" is the dessert. Must go!

One of my favorite neighborhood spots!!! They've made the menu smaller which means faster food service but the staff/management was accommodating to my party of 5 that included a vegetarian, my first time there. Recently I've gone for brunch (bottomless mimosas are ACTUALLY that - she kept my glass FULL!) and Happy Hour with the same ki d of attentive service. Food is well-seasoned with generous portion sizes and the salsa, though mild, is pretty tasty. It's become one of my go-to outdoor spots for the ambiance alone.

Tasty fish tacos and creative cocktails are two reasons to dine here. Recommended. Trust your GPS to find the right driveway to get to the restaurant. The restaurant cannot be seen from the Winchester Blvd.

Upon our arrival at Aguave Cantina & Kitchen, we were eager to explore a highly-rated new restaurant. However, our initial experience at the bar was disappointing. The bartender seemed overwhelmed and made it clear that our service would be delayed due to a high volume of orders. Despite not being seated yet, we were not even offered water to start. Fortunately, another gentleman stepped in and provided excellent service, quickly taking our order and engaging us in conversation. However, the original bartender never returned to assist us. While I regret not being able to sample the food, this review focuses solely on the bartender's service on 2/16/24. I intend to give the restaurant another chance in the future, hoping for a better experience.

Alright so, this is a very standard Americanized Mexican restaurant. Service was below average. We saw our waitress 2x total, and they were not even the one to deliver the food or the check. Food was ok, servings were tiny. This is coming from someone who eats frequent small meals and not large meals. For me to say there isn't enough food means you will likely go home hungry. Welp- ON MY WAY TO T-BELL!

We came for lunch and we were thrilled with Anejo. The food and drinks were stellar. The service was also impeccable! We’ll be back and I’d definitely recommend!

If you're up for some delicious Mexican food, leave Santana Row and Valleyfair and head down Winchester to this place. Anejo is in a strip mall that shares a parking lot w/ Mizu so parking can be tough during the dinner rush. My friend and I got here before 5 and we beat the crowd that came after. Regardless of the busy time our server was attentive. Cocktails here are well done! Yes they're strong and not watered down. Presentation of the dishes and cocktails were well done. My friend adored the bowl her tacos dorados came in. I ordered the enfrijolados and i devoured it! I look forward to coming back and trying their mole.

Pretty awesome find for us. No recommendations, just read reviews!Bar/restaurant style. Excellent food. Service was a little slow.Three appetizers to start. Queso fundido comes out piping hot and sizzling. Served with an assortment of corn tortillas. It would be nice if they could add chips; be nice to have a crispy texture with the queso. Delicious.Elote corn was sweet and yummy. We had it served cut off the cob since we shared amongst the table.Fried plantain sweet and delicious. Though perhaps this would be better as a dessert.Steak fajitas for dinner. Holy cow so good! Says 8oz in the menu but sure seems like more.Branzino fish also amazing. Butterflied open with lime, radish, cilantro and onions.Chicken Mole was nice. Mild and not as chocolatey as most places though.

I had lunch at Anejo Cantina and had a wonderful time. They serve nice cocktails, and the food is delicious. The Mahi Mahi Tacos and Carne Asada Tacos were exceptionally tasty. The customer service was good, and the staff were friendly and inviting. Overall, I had a great time.
