Food was 10/10! I was craving Vietnamese food and came across this place on Yelp! It's located inside a food court where the Lion Plaza is. It's cash only and the price is $20! They only have one thing on the menu and it's a Bò Né aka Shaken Beef Sizzling Plate! I thought everything was so good! The bread was so soft, warm, and fresh. The salad was beautifully dressed in a sweet vinegar sauce. The pate created a nice salty taste to add onto the bread and eggs. The beef was so tender and was paired nicely with a sweet sauce. The onions create, not only a nice crunch to the dish, but also enhances the flavor to the whole thing! I really liked the chili oil as well! I think this whole meal was very well worth the price and it's very filling too! The meal also comes with hot tea! I didn't really get to experience the service, but it was quick and simple! You just order and pick up when it's ready. The place is also open seating so you can sit anywhere. Overall, I would love to eat here again!

Tuần trước mình có mua 1 phần bò né . Ǎn xong một hồi thì phát hiện ra trong chào đồ ăn của mình có 1 con gián nhỏ. Mình sợ quá chạy vô restroom ói ra luôn. Kinh khủng

I never heard of Bò Né before, but I was very curious after seeing all the glowing Yelp reviews, and I must say the meal lived up to the hype. Beef was amazingly tender, and the patê was tasty too. I actually hate patê because I've had so many bad experiences with it (strong metallic taste), but the patê here was just that good that I couldn't stop eating it. My only complaint was that my beef was a lot less "medium" than I expected. I am ok with rare beef (filet mignon in particular is perfectly fine this way), but my wife was a little freaked out by how dark red it was in the center. I'm unsure if this was just a bad order, or if we need to order "well" instead.

This place is pure amazing. Been waiting to get Bo Ne for the longest time and this fulfilled my needs! The steak used was good quality and tender. Definitely coming back.

We waited 45 minutes for the Bo Ne and it was incredible. Worth the wait. It’s a bit like a deconstructed Banh Mi.

I went here with my parents in the morning to get breakfast and it's located inside the Lion Plaza. This plaza has been here ever since I was a little kid and I remember my grandma would buy me banh baos here. There's a bunch of food options that you could choose from in the food court and you can sit anywhere you'd like. There are many tables available to sit at. It's self serve and you can put the trays away but there is also someone that comes to clean the tables. It feels very comfortable! I got the #1 bo ne filet mignon with sunny side eggs and it also comes with banh mi baguette, pâté, and a side salad. It also comes with complimentary tea, but I ended up getting corn milk at the store next door instead. The meal is served on a skillet so it is really hot and I requested that the meat is cooked medium rare. The banh mi is fresh and crispy! I really enjoyed my food. Bo ne is one of my favorite Vietnamese dishes to eat for breakfast and I would definitely come back!

Went for Breakfast Food - 5/5. Everything about the bo ne was excellent. Steak had beautiful grill marks yet maintained a rare doneness. It was so tender that you could cut it with the plastic spoon! Seasoning was great with plenty of garlic and the chili oil gave it an even bigger umami boost with a hint of spice. Pate was very rich with none of the gamey, irony flavor aftertaste. It easily soaked into the garlic oil sauce and the egg yolk, creating a super umami sauce to dip your bread in. The mixture was made for topping onto carbs and both dipping it with the bread or mixing it with the rice was an equally delicious experience. The salad was very refreshing as it was actually dressed in a light vinaigrette. The tomato shocked me as visually it looked like it would be watery, but it was actually firm and very sweet. The quality of their ingredients was showcased in every part of the meal. Service - 4/5. It was a little difficult to order but I believe they ask about the doneness of your steak and I was able to manage that I would like to pay for a side of rice. They give you a beeper once you order and you can hear them ring the bell when your food is ready. Value - 5/5 .The bo ne platter only comes to $20 which is an amazing value for the generous amounts of high quality food. Rice was an extra $3, which felt fair. Although I did not ask specifically, it looked like a cash only operation so I would come prepared. Parking - Mall Lot (Free)

The restaurant is located inside a food court. The grilled steak was so amazing, same as the meat ball and pate. So amazing with the bread. The restaurant is cash

There's literally 2 things on the menu. Bone- steak and egg on sizzling grill, and shaking beef with tomato rice. We got the grilled steak and egg, the food was amazing! The bread was so well done. But do note this restaurant is cash only.

Sizzle sizzle! Glad to have tried this place. A bit confusing to find bc the sign on top of the food court says dance studio but found at las! They cook the meat how you want which is pretty cool! Meat is tender and good portion The sauce is sweet & savory, super good for dipping the bread Loved the addition of pate & beef ball that gives extra flavor Bread is soft & pilowy inside and crispy outside Would come back to try again if in the area

This spot only sells one dish (Bo Ne) for $20 cash. I like simplicity like this since they just focus on making their one specialty real good. The Bo Ne itself isn't life changing. It will taste as you expect--steak, eggs, pate, and bread. If that's your jam in general, you will enjoy it. Of course the presentation makes it even more appetizing. For some legit Bo Ne, check out this joint!

My friend found this place on Instagram, and our other friend is an expert at the best Vietnamese restaurants in East San Jose!! She knows what's overpriced, what's overhyped, and what's legit. She gave her word that Bo Ne Phu Yen was good, so we decided to make the trip. Definitely come prepared here, it's cash only and the wait is around 45 minutes to an hour. I came late from a car dealership appointment after they ordered 30 minutes prior to me coming. Had I been the one to order, they would've closed by then!! Try to pass the time with your friends by not thinking about the wait and entertaining one another, because if you think about it the time definitely does go by slower. This bo ne dish was so filling. Rationing the duck pate was the worst part for me! It was so savory that I wanted to eat it whole in one spoonful. However, it's not satisfying enough so you have to spread it out throughout the entire course of the meal... The salad side was delicious, the bread was so warm and fluffy and absorbed all of the juices of the dish so well, and the beef was (chef's kiss). Words don't do it justice. Definitely a tad on the heavy side, so if you're watching your waistline maybe split this dish with a loved one. The charm in this place is that it's not pretentious and does one thing well. No frills style meal that doesn't break the bank. Don't try to be something that you're not!

This is located in the Lion Plaza. The first time we visited was around noon on a weekend but the wait time for bò né was at least 1.5 hours so we ate someplace else. This past weekend we stopped in around 10:30am and there was no wait nor were there any issues finding an open table. Anyway the bò né was so good. Better than what we've had in Houston. 10/10!!! And while you're there, why not order a nước mía too next door? Yum.

Bo Ne delivers a perfectly acceptable, albeit uninspired, steak experience. If you're looking for a no-frills meal in a casual setting, it might fit the bill. However, if you're searching for a truly memorable steak, you might need to continue your quest elsewhere. Would I Recommend? For a quick, casual bite weekday, maybe. But for a special occasion or a truly delicious food, I wouldn't go out of my way.
