This place is a hidden gem on the Alameda. The Breakfast Club and Uncle John's are often packed, but you always get a seat here. The menu is bigger, there's more variety, and did I mention that they have empanadas? What's not to love?

I’ve been here atleast 3 times and there won’t be another. This is because of the food quality. Yesterday my partner and I order the Chicken Fired Steak and Chilaquiles. The orange juice and Mexican hot chocolate were good, but when our plates got to the table the only hot food on our plates were the chilaquiles. His plate and my potatoes were barely warm, and to top it all of the chilaquiles were completely soggy as the plate hit the table.. The waitress checked in as we got our plates before we could try it and didn’t come back until my hungry husband finished his plate. We addressed our concerns with the waitress who took our plates and had the owner come over to have us repeat our concerns only to apologize, talk to the cooks, and give us two empanadas.. it was stuffed with custard or something. Took one bite and was disappointed.I included a pic of that meals receipt which included a living cost fee not mention in the menu as an fyi. The other pic is of a separate occasion I ate here. Mimosas are ok.

Great brunch spot, the food & service was good. They even have the supreme mimosa(get ready to get turn up). The owner or maybe the manager walked around to make sure everything was ok. Indoor & outdoor seating available, the place is small recommend making a reservation. Definitely check it

The food was solid and the service was great. We loved the chicken fried steak and hash browns but the corned beef was a bit dry and stringy.
Julio and fam you are geniuses!!! The food is amazing, the restaurant is charming and the customer service is on point. Thank you so much for a fabulous breakfast on our first day in San Jose. The corn beef and empanadas are a must try.

Arrived in town for the weekend and my daughter treated me to early lunch here. We split the club sandwich which came with hot fresh French fries and a pickle spear. The sandwich was delicious as were the sides. The table was clean and stocked with condiments and right next to a window with a view. The staff was friendly and attentive. We received a special treat of cream cheese and cherry empanadas which we promptly ate and enjoyed. This is a place we will frequent!

Shout out to Julio and Oscar. The good is excellent and the drinks are off the hook! We ate the Philly cheesesteak, corn beef and hash, and the chicken mole. We will be back!

The food was good and the portions and presentation of food was nice. The family also enjoyed there dessert empanadas which was a nice way to end the meal. They also had very good service and good atmosphere so we do plan on revisiting.
