I want to give this restaurant another try. I rated it four stars because the food I ordered wasn't particularly delicious, but based on reviews, it might have been because I didn't choose one of their specialties. If it tastes better next time, I'll update my review.

Ordered the butterfly shrimp and fries platter , it was awesome as usual. Dinner hack: I order this when bbq'ing a steak " Steak & Shrimp night" ! Seafood is always great here, they cook it up fresh.

I came here with my brother. I ordered the crawfish and got the spice level at medium. The flavors are what you'd expect from these places and I couldn't tell of the crawfish was frozen or not but I would've guessed it wasn't because the meat didn't stick to the shell. I was pleasantly surprised.

There is no ambience. The food seem like it was made by AI. Bad lighting bad seating table positions are wack

This is hands down my favorite cajun seafood place. I always get the shrimp w/ the shackies sauce which is very garlicky and savory with a hint of sweetness, it’s like a flavor bomb in your mouth and the shrimps are big and plump. I also love the garlic noodles, it’s hella garlicky and flavorful and if you want some spice just add some sauce from your seafood. If there was a claw shack closer to San Francisco I would go every week. The prices here are very reasonable for the quality they consistently push out. The servers are nice most of the time and there are tvs inside for the sports fans.

Their shackies sauce is my favorite and the flavor is always spot on! I love to dip the bread loaf in the sauce or pour it over rice. All the other flavors are solid, but Shackies never fails for me.

This was always my go-to seafood boil spot in San Jose while I was in college (pre-pandemic). I came back here for the first time in years since I was in town, and not a thing has changed. The service is always quick, and the employees are friendly. The inside of the restaurant is a bit small, but they recently opened up an outdoor area with heaters so the wait isn't as long as it used to be. The Shambalang sauce (all sauces combined) is hands down the best compared to the equivalent at other restaurants (Boiling Crab, Kickin' Crab, etc.) I crave it all the time. I usually order a combo with shrimp head-on. The corn included is usually pretty large compared to other places I've been to -- I love corn so this is a huge plus for me. Their wings (lemon pepper), fries, and gumbo are all really tasty too. 11/10 recommend eating here!

Disclaimer: I'm not a big seafood person.I've been to this claw shack twice in my entire life but I've had this type of seafood boil plenty of other times. This place is one of my cousins favorite places and every time he comes back to visit from Canada, this is what he craves. The first time I came here with a friend we had headless shrimp and crawfish, along with garlic noodles and of course the extra fixings in the bag (potatoes, sausage, and corn). This recent time we ordered oysters, head on shrimps and crawfish, along with the extra fixings. I highly recommend you get through shrimp with heads on, they're definitely sweeter and more flavorful. The crawfish the first time around tasted better, they were less rubbery and overcooked tasting (maybe because they're frozen). Oysters came out to about a little over $2.50 for a dozen and they tasted just fine. The corn's texture wasn't that overly boiled soft texture so I was happy with that. Potatoes were cooked perfectly and sausages were bite size.No complaints on the service, there's a sink right outside the restroom so you can wash your hands. Staff doesn't check up on you and it's just fine because if you need anything it's not hard to flag them down or get their attention. This isn't something I crave often or much at all, but there wasn't anything about this place that made it amazing or stood out from other seafood boil places. I'll probably be back when my cousin is in town and we visit, but otherwise I probably wouldn't go out of my way for this place, but that's just me.

This is the best seafood boil spot in the Bay Area! The shrimp wasn't over cooked, and the sauce was very comparable to *other* seafood boil places. Without the outdoor seating, it is a pretty small space. If you're coming with a group, it might be a wait to get seated. Overall, would definitely recommend!

Food is ok, but the place is crowded. We ate there a little bit late (around 8:00), and even we haven’t finishing eating they started cleaning. I don’t like the smell.

We wanted to try a different seafood spot since we always go to the same spot so we decided to go to Claw Shack. We got the mild 1lb shrimp, 1 lb crawfish combo with the Shambalang sauce and an order of garlic noodles. Mild flavor was had a kick of slight spiciness which is the perfect mildness I was looking for. The sauce was good but it could be a bit better. I'm curious to try the other sauces they have! Garlic noodles was a good addition to the seafood since I like to have a mixture of food when eating.Service was friendly. The servers were very attentive and kept coming up to refill our waters. This is a great spot for seafood cravings. The spot feels comforting the moment you step in. I would definitely come back to try their other flavors!
