So flavorful and delicious! The French toast had the perfect amount of sweetness. The cheesesteak might be a bit cheesy for some, but I enjoyed it and the steak pieces were tender and juicy! The Dino rib pieces were so soft and tender and juicy as well and was happy with the choice of adding the bone marrow. Lastly, the takoyaki was one of the best I've ever had. Will definitely be coming back again to try more!

Had the Crispy Chicken Sticky Rice and the Lechon Fried Rice. The Crispy Chicken is similar to Korean fried chicken soy and sweet version. The Lechon was ok; more Chinese style than Filipino. Fried Rice that came with each plate was good.

D-D Delight is a delightful concept that blends Latin American and Asian cuisines. You'll find whacky and fun takes on tacos, chicken and waffles, pho, ramen, etc., on their menu.Speaking of menu, the food ordering itself is done at a tablet at the counter or thru a QR code at each table. When I came in, the friendly lady working the dining room offered me sealed cup of water right away after seating me and told me how to order. Otherwise, I think I would have been a little confused and expecting to see a menu.I stopped by early in the morning (9AM) and it was very quiet with only one other table. The restaurant itself looks like it's in soft open status. There are some tasteful decors around but it also does not seem finished. My Ube Matcha tea was not only fun looking (reminds of old school Barney the dinosaur) but was very balanced in terms of sweetness and ice distribution. Both the ube part and the matcha part were creamy and smooth.Onto the main event. I went with the Short Ribs/Bone Marrow fried rice to sample one of their signature fusion dishes. I loved it, but I can see how other folks might not. The bone marrow with chimichurri sauce and the short rib/cheek were seasoned and cooked perfectly. The rice itself might be the polarizing part. The fried rice is done is a street-food style, where the rice is on the slightly greasier and crispier side. The dish as a whole is a chaotic yet coherent flavor and texture bomb. It really embodies what a fusion dish should be, in my opinion.I'll have to come back (maybe with a friend so we can try multiple dishes) and take my palate on another adventure.

My boyfriend and I decided to grab lunch here. This spot has been in my bookmark collection for a while and we finally were in the area to try. We ordered the Lechon Fried Rice, the Picanha Steak, and the Pandan Coffee.Lechon Fried Rice: 8/10The lechon pork belly was nice and soft while the skin was super crunch and crispy. I liked eating the fried rice together with the egg, the crispy skin, and rhe pork belly together in one go.Picanha Steak: 10/10We added extra pate to ours and this spot does not skimp out on the extra pate! My boyfriend was able to finish this whole entree and had a bit leftover pate, which we mixed it in my Lechon Fried Rice. steak was soft and easy to cut. Very well executed dish with lots of flavor.Pandan Coffee: 7/10This was good but I felt like it could’ve had a bit more coffee to it.Service was quick since we order through a QR code and then they bring the food out.

Awkward hosting experience where we had to stand by the door while people were going in and out of the restaurant, since they said “we’d be seated soon.” After about 30 minutes, they then directed us to sit at their barstools to continue waiting.Ordering is done entirely via scanning a QR code with your smart phone, where you’re forced to pay before you get your food, and with a 3.5-4% fee and with 18% tip already selected. When I asked a worker about it, they said that that’s the result of the POS system (that the restaurant themselves chose) and is on by default (despite me never seeing this charge by any other restaurants using Toast). When asked about paying by cash, the waitress looked a bit shocked, but had to fumble trying to use an iPad to take a picture of my phone and tried to calculate the bill without the fee so I could pay - again, before receiving any food or water. I just decided to end the awkwardness and paid by card. Our water was rarely and slowly refilled despite us asking a few times for more water. The food was nothing to write home about. The portion sizes were on the smaller side and the prices were on the higher side for the quality we had (we had the bone marrow fried rice, Bo ne, and I don’t even remember the third dish). The restaurant tried to re-create that instagram aesthetic but I personally felt it fell short of that mark as well.

What a treat! Got lucky enough to have to work in San Jose and made sure I tried DD’s before leaving the city. When i arrived there was a good amount of seating inside and took seconds to get seated. The only thing I didn’t like about the restaurant and this is just a personal preference, the QR code menus. At first look at the menu the prices sound a little high. But for fine dinning and a different experience you can’t be mad at it. I came for the soup and I dove in!I ordered the Dino Rib Pho Ramen and boy was it a treat! That Dino Rib is huge and one of the most tender ribs you will ever eat. I added the extra brisket and was also very tender and seasoned well. The Brûlée Thai Ice Tea was one of the best takes on a Thai ice Tea that I’ve had as well. It was sweet but not the annoying sweet. Has a perfect mixture of flavors.Parking: Parking lot on the side, spaces were available on a Saturday night so I’m asssuming there’s usually space availableKid-friendliness: Kids may like to see the big rib but not sure if this is a place for themWheelchair accessibility: Access and Welcomed

To our surprise, it's a really popular spot. We got there ~12:30 PM on a Saturday and there was a wait. We put our name down and wasn't seated until 1:15 (I think) so if you don't want to wait, come early, beat the crowd. Customer service is not bad, better than normal Vietnamese restaurants. Here's what we ordered:- Lechon fried rice: it's very delicious and flavorful. Our favorite and if we come back, we will order this again- Dino banh mi dip: I think this is just for Instagram. They do give you a decent amount of meat. The meat is tender-ish (at least not chewy) but it doesn't have much flavor. It has a bit more flavor when you dip it with the sauce (still, nothing special to me). It's actually quite hard to hold the bread to dip and eat so we ended up tear it up into smaller pieces.- Bò né (picanha steak sizzling) with added bone marrow: paid extra $10 for a pretty small piece of bone marrow. It has really good flavor BUT the meat is too chewy that we could only eat 20% and spit out 80%. Quite a disappointment. Paid $30 for a meal that couldn't eat much.- Ube4more: just okay. It's a combination and milk tea and Vietnamese sweet soup but I'd prefer Vietnamese sweet soup. For a $100 meal, we only enjoyed 1 of them so we didn't leave happy. Most likely, we won't come back.

My new favorite place to go in San Jose! I live an hour northeast of this place and I will gladly drive down with my family to enjoy great food here. I tried this place for the first time on Tuesday with my friend and then came back with my family and friends on Sunday. We loved it and the server was kind enough to let my family taste their ube waffle for free! Love their food and service! Thank you Duy! It was great chatting with you and learning a little bit on how you started the business. Wish you and your wife much more success. Also, wishing you can open a bigger location and possibly multiple locations in the very near future ?
