Fantastic restaurant with great food and excellent service. The food is flavorful and tasty. Service is very attentive. The place is spotlessly clean. Highly recommended!

Newly remodeled place for a very good dinner. Lots of vegetarian options, and items like Gobi Manchurian were really good. Service was super quick, friendly and efficient. Only one feedback to the restaurant - salt was very unevenly spread on items like Kulcha. Can reduce the overall salt content in dishes a bit.

Have had Indian food hundreds of times and decided to try a new Indian place since there are none particularly great near us in Los Gatos at a reasonable price. Wow! What a find! Tucked in an unassuming strip mall, this may become our go-to! Ordered Butter Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala, and Mutter Paneer. The Butter Chicken was perfectly good (we have a high bar there), but both the Chicken Tikka Masala and Mutter Paneer might be the best we've ever had! Incredible flavor with nice depth. We were all blown away. Worth noting, the quality of the chicken in the dishes was top notch too. And...the cost is utterly reasonable! Can't wait to try more from their menu over time!Parking: Plenty of parking in the low-traffic strip mall lot.

Came here after looking at other reviews. Must say very disappointed. Service was basic. Ordered Biryani, paneer chilli starter and dawat special noodles. Paneer chilli starter was more like gravy with paneer floating in oil. Biryani had no flavor but it was okay compared to other items. Noodles was worst of the lot. Would give 2 stars just for ambiance. They need to improve a lot on quality of food and service. Same feedback was given to manager but they didn't seem interested.

First time, great food and service. Had mushroom masala, which I've never even heard of prior. Goat curry was delish. Had garlic naan and paratha, rice and raita. Loved all of it and can't wait to go back for more!

Unfortunately the quality of the food has gone down since this place first opened. We ordered garlic naan and aloo palak. The naan felt a bit chewy. While the palak itself was good, the aloo pieces were huge and lacked flavor. This restaurant is close to our house, we'd love to visit regularly. I hope the quality improves soon, so we can keep going back!

I've only ordered to go and found their curries to be delicious (I'm not Indian). When they make it spicy it is SPICY. Of course a knock with all these places is sometimes I feel there isn't enough meat in the curry as the curries themselves are very expensive. The place inside has limited seating but should be enough as I think most people order to go.

Came here last night and got a super basic to go order, food was ready quickly. The place is bright and clean, well maintained. The food is probably 3.5-4 stars (I had the butter chicken, garlic naan and mango lassi), and everything else was fine except one thing: they charge more than their menu states things cost. I understand being a small business and having prices change, and I want this place to succeed - nothing ever sticks at this location - but if you have printed menus you have to honor that price. They either need new menus to hand out or need to redirect people to a qr code with an online menu with accurate pricing. Check your receipts...

We ordered food few weeks ago, but the food was not great. we ordered kadhai paneer and naan along with it, we didn’t like the curry but the naan was fine. money waste!

Clean place with freshly cooked simply Indian dishes. Roti, chapati, appetizers and masala tea (chai) were all amazing :) they customized spiciness for our toddlers and was perfect!

Great food and service! The gobhi manchurian was one of the tastiest versions I had. The kebabs and bhindi were good too. Would have liked more green chutney in the samosa chaat, but it was good. The owners are super nice and the place is a quiet and clean place to dine.

I only like my "butter paneer" (not listed on the menu) from here. It's essentially the butter chicken gravy, but no chicken, added paneer. I really wish they have this on the menu so there isn't any miscommunication on the phone when I request for it. I've seen other restaurants have it, but Dawaat makes it really good with their sauce. I enjoy eating this with their garlic naan and mango lassi. The restaurant is clean inside and a bit small but modern. Plenty of parking as it's in a low key plaza in south SJ. One of my favorite Indian spots and I typically like taking my food to-go from here.

I called in today for a pickup order and the lady that spoke on the phone was very pleasant and she gave a 15 min wait time. When I got there, the food was ready, so service was top notch. But the nice things end right there. The Gobi paratha was oily, garlic naan was just dry and aloo gobi was just too oily and had no flavor. I have never had such a bad experience with every single item turning out to be a disaster.
