New owners spruced up the place but I hate the smoke shop vibe and the service is lackluster. The shop no longer carries anything I like. No Ben and Jerry's Ice cream, no dove bars, no real juice, no good snacks, no low fat milk, no limes for a cocktail, no good beer, it's all really low quality yuck stuff. (seriously "artificially flavored chocolate flavor ice cream?" ) You used to be able to make requests, the prior owner would order beer I liked then I would buy it because it was close and I like to support my neighbor's business. Now it's super crappy.

This is a small place, only like 6 tables. However, the service was excellent and the food even better. They have a limited menu of basically kebobs and quesadillas, but that allows them to serve guests quickly and turn tables. Both of us really enjoyed our meals. food was fresh and cooked right in front of us. They currently do not serve beer, just so you know. I will definitely return upon my next visit to Valladolid.

The new owners are wonderful, friendly people. Like many corner markets of this type, the prices are a little high, but I appreciated the convenience. This little market has always been a nice place. With the new ownership, it is a little different, but just as nice, and maybe even nicer.
