The food quality is always good. Sometimes you get stale chips, but not the worst offense. The salsa gets me 70% to the old pruneyard El burro if you remember that. Great chicken enchilada in the Verde sauce.

Food is great, very authentic..Plato de tasajo: Nice big portion and amazing taste. Their rice and beans are delicious as well as the "tasajo" meat. We know it as "cecina" but either way it's delicious.. Supreme burrito: delicious (tex-mex style). It was incredibly big, had to take some home. The ingredients were tasty and I do believe that adding the sauce on top makes it even better.. Chavela (drink): This I would not recommend at all. They charge you $11 for the frosted glass with lime juice PLUS an extra $5 for the beer itself! Had I known I would have avoided it..Mole Oaxaqueño: 9/10. Very good.Nieve de leche quemada: Delicious! Tastes like the Mexican candy "Paleta Mimi".

Just to tell you that the customer comes first. I don't know if he is the owner but there was a big man and he ignored us. We sat down and then they asked us for a coffee and we finished the coffee because the food didn't arrive and we ordered more coffee we had to wait half an hour and it didn't taste the same anymore. They made faces at us because of the coffee. ANOTHER THING MY PEOPLE CHECK YOUR RECEIPT. BECAUSE THERE THEY CHARGE YOU THE TIP AND MORE THAN ONE PEOPLE GIVE MORE TIP. I KNOW THAT FOR A LARGE NUMBER OF PEOPLE THIS IS OKAY BUT. I HAD TO PAY BETWEEN THE TAX AND THE TIP 18.00 DOLLARS AND WE WERE ONLY 2 PEOPLE FOR A TOTAL OF 75.00 DOLLARS. EXCUSE ME

If you ask for the tlayuda folded, the lady who cooks gets angry, I think she is the owner's daughter.

Excellent service, delicious Oaxacan food, I recommend the yellow chicken mole empanadas and the molotes..
I love Oaxacan food and have been spoiled by La Tortuga down in Seaside, but El Tule comes close. Good Tlayuda and Oaxacan Tamales (I'd take the mole sauce on the side) and absolutely delicious Horchata con Tuna (prickly pear and almonds). Sooooooo good. Next time I want to try the Agua de Chilacayote!
The food is passable. But they impose a 15% tip without asking first. This shouldn't be because it's something the waiter earns. And you decide when you want to leave.
Too expensive ? +food wasn't good, nor the service

I’m socially awkward so when I came in , I was glad that they were friendly. Welcoming environment, especially to Spanish speakers, where they relate onna different level.

This place is awesome and worth your money! Although they have other Mexican dishes( from other states/popular Mexican plates) I recommend to go in to this restaurant with the purpose of just trying Oaxacan food. You can ask the staff to guide you through the menu. This is the only restaurant that accurately depicts and gives tribute to the Oaxacan cuisine. The staff is very friendly but it can get super busy on weekends!
