Food is worth at most $0.50. Gyros tasted like cardboard. Fries tasted like cardboard. Way too overpriced. The food is not worth it. Service was not good. Seems to be the trend for most restaurants in San Jose. Low quality food, rude staff, way too overpriced, tip swindling.

Didn't really know much about this place. Stopped by because another restaurant in the area that I frequent was closed. I was drawn in by the inviting traditional atmosphere even though I thought they were a chain (they operate another location in Sunnyvale-so a mini franchise really). Looked at several interesting plate options and decided to go with the Greek Spot special plate with skewered chicken as the protein. Came on a ceramic plate which I appreciate with such overuse of food containers these days. The chicken was complimented with a hearty portion of Greek salad with lots of feta and yummy balsamic dressing. Rounding things out was pita with some type of tzatziki and rice. Though I wouldn't exactly classify this as inexpensive it was a very healthy portion that I gladly gorged myself on. This will not only be my go-to Greek place on this side of town but my restaurant of choice overall in South San Jose!

Unfortunately, I need to change my review from the last time.My biggest complaint is how overpriced this place is. I spent over $20 for moussaka. And although it was tasty, I've had far better moussaka in the past. It came with a side salad that had far too many onions and peppers. It wasn't horrible. But I could have done with a little less onions and peppers and more lettuce and tomatoes instead. But I think the part that turned me off the most was the walnut baklava. I spent over $7 for two small pieces and it was probably the worst baklava I've ever had in my life. It tasted old like it was made several days ago and it wasn't fresh. Not crispy. Almost a bit soggy even on the bottom. I took two bites and I was done and felt completely ripped off because it was rather expensive.I've came here before and it wasn't bad the first time. But this time around was so bad that I needed to rewrite my review and drop them down to two stars only. The service was good however. But the food is lacking. I absolutely love Greek food, and this just did not hit the mark for me at all.I tried to add pictures of the moussaka and the baklava, but for some reason the app is glitching and won't let me add the pictures. But take my word for it. I feel completely ripped off and I probably won't be going back there again.

Great service. Chicken gyros was ok, nothing special. Next time I'll order the lamb gyros.
