This place is straight out of a book and or movie, really cool setting! The drinks go hand in hand, everything from the food to the cocktails are all curated so perfectly and the service is top notch and very helpful when it comes to deciphering which cocktail(s) you may like most.

Huge fan of this spot! We came for a quick drink before a musical on Saturday. The entry way seemed kind of sketch at first lol but it totally adds to the whole speakeasy vibe (even though this isn't a speakeasy). All the bartenders were top notch especially the first gal who helped us, i didn't get her name but she was helping out behind the bar and at the tables and had a man bun type of hairdo! Anyway, drinks were yummy, I'd say prices are pretty average of what you can expect to pay for a craft cocktail. We would definitely plan on returning when back in downtown SJ!

Great bar, nice ambiance, and excellent drinks. It can take a while to get a drink and parking is tough but still worth visiting.

This bar is a hidden gem. The staff if most certainly nothing less than perfect. The greeter and I had a great conversation about bars in Santa Cruz, they were fantastic. Catrina, Jose, Jacob and Maui were pleasant on several occasions. I was a server and manager for over 10 years at the most high profile restaurants (Morton’s for one, which is 12 steps of service) so I know exactly what I’m talking about. I’m sorry but the Asian woman at the bar was also great but I didn’t get her name. I told them my conditions (“this is the first time I’ve drank in a year, please make me something nice. It doesn’t have to be heavily alcohol just has to taste good”) They made me exactly what I wanted. It literally made me feel special. Jacob with the great conversations, Maui and Catrina with the prime mixology. Jose was awesome with being attentive. If you read this review, trust it was out of love at 5:14 AM. I appreciate them and I most definitely will be coming back.

This place is my favorite place to sit and vibe with a cocktail in San Jose. The drinks are so great and the bartenders have a great flair to themselves and the drinks!

I usually stop by this establishment once a year for work with my colleagues and spend a hefty amount of money. However after my last experience I won't be stopping by anymore. We were waiting in line to grab a mocktail like we usually do and one of our colleagues who mind you doesn't drink either jumps in line with a plastic cup of water from a neighboring food truck. We get to the front of the line and were all turned away because of a cup of water HE had which didn't seem legit. The buddy with water offered to leave the line in hopes that I and my other friend could get in and bouncer still said no.Very interesting behavior, but looking back towards the whole scenario it felt more of like a discriminatory act towards my colleague's weekend look/attire which consisted of just khaki pants and a collared shirt. Everyone else in line were a bit more dressy since it was the weekend. Maybe they felt like we weren't upscale enough for the environment or that we didn't have the money, but hey whatever.Great drinks and atmosphere I suppose but definitely snooty towards who they let in. Won't be going back.

Fantastic place to try out new cocktails. Speak to any of the barkeeps in regard to the things that you would love-all things liquor and they will make you magic. Beware the drinks are pretty strong. Reservations are best.

I can't believe I didn't get a single picture of the absolutely amazing drinks we had here. Everything I tried was absolutely delicious, even the drinks with liquors I don't usually like. I tried the Penny Popper, it packed a punch and I could definitely taste the pisco but it was delicious and such an adorable drink. Despite being on the smaller side I don't think having the drink being any larger would have been a positive, I think it would have been a little much so I think it was the perfect portion. The Moscow Mules were also amazing and, while tiny, they were delicious and super gingery. However, the star of the night for me was the Sunomono. It was such an incredible drink that tasted like I was really eating a sunomono salad. The umami flavor was outstanding and it is officially my favorite drink in the world. We did notice that the only food was different nut assortments so make sure you grab a bite before coming here, especially if you have a nut allergy! As for the space, it's cozy, a little romantic, warm, and fully feels like you stepped in a time machine to an incredible speakeasy. We were lucky that the rain kept things a little slower so it wasn't insanely packed but I can only imagine how crazy it can get! The service was quick and it seems like they really have things streamlined behind the bar since the drinks seemed partially pre-made so everything came out fast and perfect! The servers walking around were quick and attentive with picking up finished glasses and overall it was an amazing night. This is by far my favorite bar in San Jose, I can't wait to go back!

Wonderful cocktail bar, drinks were the best we had all night. Service was solid and everyone was helpful given they were likely understaffed. Ambiance is nice and the hat theme is very cute. I would definitely come back. This place was chosen strictly off Yelp reviews, but because of this I believe it was a great choice. Sesame peanuts were absolutely fantastic I have no idea where they got those from but I could eat them forever. Cocktails were great fresh green, sweet and savory, really have never had anything like it.

The glasses smell like eggs, even the water glasses.

The bar needs to work on their cleanliness.. they have some kind of egg based cocktail, all the utensils and glassware including cocktail glasses, water glasses etc. smell like eggs. Ambiance is below average.

Came to Haberdasher for the first time while a friend was in town for the holidays. It was my first time and having to wait 10pm to get in was well worth it. I love the dim lighting and the overall atmosphere. It's very a very cozy and intimate place to sit down with friends, enjoy a few drinks, and catch up. I love me an espresso martini, but my fiancé grabbed the Cafe Monte and it was definitely a new favorite of mine. Looking forward to coming back here with more friends to enjoy a nice night out.
