We always come here for our family breakfast time and the food/service never disappoints. Their Greek lemon soup is what I always get!

Food was so good ! The restaurant feels like Greece with its blue walls and ceilings. It was a fun experience eating there and our waitress told us to take our time. Also very clean. 5/5

We went to John's today for the St Patrick's Day corned beef and cabbage special and are extremely disappointed. The cook had the meat sitting in at least 1/8" of water on the plate. We told our server (who was very nice) and she tried to get the manager to come talk to us. He put us off as low priority and didn't come over until we asked a few more times. He made a bunch of excuses and refused to help. He claimed he was too busy with the bar patrons. He also claimed the meat was sitting in oil, not water. An 1/8" of oil? It was a terrible meal made worse by his flippant attitude. We paid and left. John's is obviously not nearly as good at their dinner menu as they are with their breakfasts. We've been going to John's fairly regularly for well over a decade. We will not be returning after this experience. There are too many other great places to choose from. We don't recommend the corned beef and cabbage. It looks better in the photos than sitting in a pool of oily water...

Recently ordered breakfast takeout- chicken and waffles + bagel with eggs and cream cheese. Overall was a solid and affordable meal.

I tried this place and the food was delicious. Ordered their recommendation and the chicken was very soft and tender, the flavor was exquisite. I didn't like the sound too much but it was very good. I highly recommend this place. Recommend parking on the street, very limited parking. Also have in mind that the place is small so you may have to wait to be seated

Honestly surprised. Reviews didn't look great, atmosphere was half bar half diner, however the food, portions, and service sure came through. Came here to celebrate a birthday. The menu had breakfast, lunch, and dinner on it. A lot of options, the cuisine was all over the place. American, Greek, Mediterranean, and Italian. My grandpa got the rib and shrimp dish and he really liked the sauce the shrimp came in, wouldn't stop talking about it. Brother got the chicken Parmesan with a hefty amount of pasta and enjoyed the crust on the chicken which is really pretty hard to do. And most important me. I got the spicy chicken pasta, only thing I'd want is more sauce on it. Wasn't too spicy to where it overwhelmed the dish, but a nice little reminder of why they named the dish that. Pretty solid portion, I mean yes it was $25 however it lasted me two meals. I'm happy if it tastes decent and is a big portion, but if it's a smaller portion it better be the best pasta of my life, but like I said the portion size and decent taste was enough to swing my 5 star review.

Like another reviewer, I also ordered a "Too Good To Go" package from John's. I am just getting back to eating out more often and I loved sitting down for meals at John's before Covid. One bowl of their Greek soup was the only item I received. I was very disappointed; not even a side of a few crackers. It tasted good, but a few minutes after eating I realized that it was really very salty. Will likely not return for a meal there.

Love love John's of Willow Glen, our family's been eating here for like 50 years and it just keeps getting better. Even though there's new owners, they've kept most of the same vibe, the same quality food the same service, they pumped a bunch of money into the physical store with upgrades remodeling a new bar and it works. If you want a good quality plate of food that's hot, comfort food, fresh with good service and a good environment don't look any further than John's, this is as good as it gets. The menu selections incredible the prices are very fair the service is amazing this is where it's at, highly recommend.
