Definitely a great BBQ spot. The ribs and chicken are the standouts, packed with flavor and just the right amount of tenderness. Their homemade BBQ sauce, and sides are great. It's a BBQ stop so don't expect table side service, but all the people working there are chill and really friendly. Overall a great spot worth stopping at.

From Sacramento to L.A., this BBQ spot stands out as one of the best I've ever tried. The meat is perfectly seasoned and tender, with no dryness in sight, complemented by a homemade sauce that elevates the flavors. came from watsonville ca to try it with family ordered 3 meals of there combination plates chicken ribs and briskett sandwich waited 20 min to get food out then since we got it to the guy brought food in bag tied up so we wouldnt open it whatever didnt think anything of it so decided to eat at home when we got home they served us all our plates with double beans on all 3 plates we didnt order double beans on 3 combination plates they put no potato salad at all double beans on 3 meals come on them low key felt like a racist place all black people there no one greeted us we ordered on kios cause there was no help employee was eating man im telling you if your mexican check your food here or dont go to places with this type vibe 2024 and a small buissness like this doing mexican people like this if i wanted beans i would eat at home this people did it as a joke we will never be bavk here and to my hispanic people tacos are better than this garbage food here the brisket sandwich on a dam hot dogg bun wth is that never seen ball park hot dogg bread on briskett yall need to do better

I am making my way down my bookmark list and this beautiful Saturday, Jon Jon's BBQ was the spot! I've heard so many good things about this place and I am now seeing why. The BBQ was tender and flavorful. I asked for my sauce on the side so I could taste the smokiness before I bathed it in the mouth watering homemade bbq sauce. Baked beans are like my southern Granny's. And the mac and cheese was creamy and cheesy. I wish I would have purchased a larger size. I was a little disappointed that they were out of potato salad (I visited late in the day) but I will return another day to grab another plate! Highly recommended! Black Owned! San Jose Must Try!

To whom it may concern: I would like to take just a few minutes and express to all of you yelp listeners. Jon Jons bbq hasn't been the same since the original owners sold the business. The new owners are serving cold beans and two day old meat with their take out orders. They need to change the name of the business. Jon Jons bbq has the worst bbq in San Jose. Oh and I failed to mention that their customer service isn't the best. New name should best, their new name should be ghetto roach bbq.

A small place with very limited seating indoor and outdoor, Jon Jon's is a classic hole in the wall where you would expect to get some excellent BBQ. I had the BBQ Chicken with a side of potato salad and baked beans and it also included a roll. I ordered at a kiosk so and received my food really quickly so I was happy with how convenient everything was. The chicken was delicious, fall off the bone good with a sweet and tangy sauce that made me wish I had ordered more. It also had a nice smoke flavor on it while being very moist so I was very pleased with that's The baked beans were a little on the sweet side for me but I enjoyed it and the potato salad was well made. I think it was a tad more expensive than I would have thought, however the quality of the food will definitely have me coming back to explore other items on the menu.

First time stopping in today, and as a former Chef and Pitmaster in both Texas and California I've never found anything remotely close to the AUTHENTIC bbq experience on this side of the Rockies. From the hospitality of the staff, expertise of the Pitmaster, and downright homey feeling this is a place you can't pass up.

Fast food. Great service. Nice staff. Very reasonable price. Open air seating so we can take our four legged friend. Eat here at least once a month if not more. Really is a BBQ with big old smoker. Legit BBQ

Just happened to be on that side of town today and stopped in. Really really friendly people. Meet most of the family. The chicken was awesome. Really smokey and flavorful. The rib was fall off the bone. Sauce was a light sweet vinegar spice based. Light but flavorful. I think the meats don't need it but it would be great as a dipping side. Potato salad was true "tator" salad. If you know you know. The link didn't quite measure up to rest of plate quality. If they made their own, it would be a knockout. Overall a really great meal, experience, and awesome customer service. Going back with my crew and try to eat then out of all their food. Yeah it's that good. Best by far in California..... PS I am a KCBC, World, and American BBQ judge so I know good BBQ when I have it. Do yourself a favor.. Dont walk.. Run over there and get the lunch special.. Just skip the link.
