Authentic grilled lamb chops in the Bay Area! Absolutely delicious! ? Kusan Uyghur Cuisine is a must-visit spot! The decor is ethnic-themed, and the cushions add a nice touch. Lamb Chops: Perfectly grilled with a crispy exterior and tender meat. Big Plate Chicken: Tender chicken in a special sauce with noodles. Homemade Yogurt: Refreshing and creamy with passion fruit and pomelo flavors. Try the grilled lamb skewers, chicken skewers, lamb liver, and lamb heart. Lamb Hand-Pulled Rice: A perfect blend of sweet and tangy flavors! Generous portions at great prices! Friendly staff and owners. Highly recommended!

I went to the market today and found a Xinjiang food stall. I had no cash, so I borrowed five dollars and drank a bowl of mutton soup. The soup was amazing. The taste is incredibly authentic. Do you all know Xinjiang cuisine only kebabs? You have really misunderstood... Xinjiang's strips, big plate chicken, pepper and chicken, battered sheep's trotters, pulled slices...

Second time at this restaurant, and I must say, Uyghur cuisine holds a special place in my heart. However, this establishment falls short in terms of culinary execution. While they offer all the traditional Uyghur dishes, this restaurant doesn't quite rank among the best. During my last visit, I sampled the laghman, plov, and samosas, but none of them impressed me.Nonetheless, I decided to give it another shot and opted for the beef noodle soup this time. To my surprise, it was quite flavorful, although it's possible my hunger influenced my opinion (just kidding). Unfortunately, both my wife and friend weren't as pleased with their choices. My friend's chicken wrap was excessively spicy, with an overwhelming amount of jalapeños filling nearly 20% of it. He spent half his meal picking them out. It seems he isn't accustomed to such heat. Meanwhile, my wife specifically requested her chicken noodle soup without chili peppers. Despite this, when her food finally arrived after a 20-25 minute wait (she was served last), it still contained chilis. She promptly informed the waitress of the error and requested a replacement without chilis. After a brief apology, the waitress returned with the same soup, supposedly sans chilis, though remnants were still visible. Upon tasting, my wife found the dish overly salty and sour, a sentiment I shared upon trying it myself.Overall, while my experience was salvaged by the beef soup, it was far from enjoyable for my friend and wife, particularly disappointing as my friend had traveled from Chicago for vacation. I'd tentatively recommend trying the beef soup, but for true Uyghur cuisine enthusiasts, this place may not meet expectations. It's unfortunate that this is the only Uyghur food option in the Bay Area I know.

Everything tasted alright. Watch out for the peppers, they are sneaky. When you come in, you use your phone to look at menu, order and pay.

The atmosphere is fantastic. It feels clean enough. Pricing was a little bit on the expensive side. Could use a wider selection of beverages. The food on the other hand came out hot and fresh.

I would say this is mostly like Uyghur food, the Big Plate Chicken was tender and joyful with hand pulled noodle, for further advice I would expect next level transitional spice used.

Great little hidden gem. Nice to try something from a lesser-represented part of the culinary world. The laghman is really good and, as other reviewers mentioned, portion sizes are very good.

The food, the flavors and the menu were exciting. And once we figured out that we had to place our order online, after that unsuccessfully waiting for someone to take our order, we did not have to wait long for the dishes. But there is no ‘ambience' or ‘service' or whatever you want to call it, and it was quite cold inside the restaurant. On a cold evening in San Jose, we had to keep our jackets on.

The cold chili chicken is a must try for sure. Definitely my favorite thing we tried.I'm a fan of the online ordering/pay that a lot of these restaurants are starting to do.

This is my second time coming here for lunch. It's easy to miss this restaurant if you are not looking closely. The parking is in the back of the building. The restaurant has lot of pictures showing the culture which is really cool.Tried the following food:Cucumber salad - love this , 5/5Laghman - this is a homemade noodles tossed with lamb , cabbage , potatoes , veggies and you can have it spicy or non spicy. I opted for the spicy version . Love the taste and the texture 5/5Dumpling with beef and celery - this was good -4/5Uyghur special milk tea - tea with milk , butter cream and a hint of salt which creates a velvety creamy taste - this is an acquired taste - 3/5Would love to come back here and try a couple more dishes.
