Last year I called this place & asked them if they make birthday cakes. I was transferred to the chef/manager. He was rude. I asked him how much roughly a birthday cake costs for 20 people. His response was we don't make roughly cakes! And then he said why am I using English words & sentences. Well, excuse you for living in the US. That was it for the birthday cake so we went to another place. We've tried their pastries. Good area, Not a big selection but they're as good as they can get because of lack of competition. Very pricy. You get a small box & it costs $50!!

This is a really nice Persian café. Very clean and somewhat quiet. So if you need to work etc, you can totally sit down and do that. They have lot of variety for dessert but not any savory items. That is the only draw back. Coffee is decent too. Over all I really liked the vibe.

Weird timing and both times I went based on Yelp Page, they were closed. What a waste of time!

This pastry shop is nothing short of amazing! SO much better than Haleh. No comparison between the two. I definitely have found my new go to Persian pastry shop. The pastries are so fresh and delicious here and even more so important than that is their amazing, kind customer service (something Haleh severely lacks). There are so many options to choose from and you cannot go wrong with any selection here. 10/10!

A HIDDEN GEM IN SAN JOSE! CHECK OUT THIS PERSIAN CAFE! I am so glad I chose to try something new to me, this Persian cafe tucked away in a quiet plaza. The space is open and inviting; the decor is quite cute with a few vintage decorations, and the colorful cakes (Western & Turkish-style) are neatly lined up. The owner, a kind Persian man, seems to be one of the only employees. I asked for a coffee menu, and he replied that he only makes espressos, cappucinos, and lattes. Very very simple, I love it! He crafts all coffee orders using his espresso machine so you get fresh coffee every time. Now for the cakes!! It was so hard to choose; we opted for the Napoleon (aka mille-feuille) & vanilla cake with lemon icing. Both cakes were scrumptious!!! Not too sweet (which is a huge compliment when coming from an Asian person)! I definitely want to come back and try more of their delicious cakes and coffee. The owner is very kind and inviting. Be aware there is a language barrier as he doesn't seem to know much English. Be patient with him and he will take good care of you!

Worst place to buy Persian pastry, the prices are high, the quality is low, and they are rude and disrespectful.

Adorable place. I came here for the first time and came out with a box of sweets and goodies! Everything was good and wasn't too sweet! As someone else pointed out, it'd be nice to know pricing and names of things so I don't have to ask or figure it out on yelp. Nonetheless, highly recommended!

The freshest and tastiest persian pastries around the south bay, if not the bay. Most stuff are made daily, and they're so good, that I don't mind driving across the bay to get some. I'm now ruined, and can't have many other persian pastries anymore. ?

I truly enjoyed the variety of Iranian sweets. They are sold by the weight. What I found that was delightful was you can enjoy the subtle flavors of dates, nuts and rosewater, not just a mouthful of sugar. They are real tasty to enjoy. I will be returning to get more desserts from Kandoo.
