Been here twice and the grandma in the front is very adorable. My favorite item there is the chicken baos, I don't eat pork so whenever a place offers chicken baos I jump at the opportunity. The chicken bao is soft. the bread part is slightly sweet and the meat is well seasoned. I also enjoy their egg tarts which are moist in the center and has a crispy edge. I just wished their banh teiu was a bit more crispy and had less dough in the middle but it was still delicious and flavorful! Keep in mind that theres a $15 card minimum.

Came around 3 ish. Nobody was in here except us and like their relatives or ppl who were jus chilling and talking. We looked around for a bit but jus ended up getting 2 banh mis (pork loaf and grilled pork) and two pía type pie thingys. The banh mis were okay, not that much filling jus a thin layer of meat and not that much veggie but the mayo tasted good. Grilled pork def better than pork loaf (vietnamese ham) bc had more flavor. Kinda disappointed after coming here, expected to have alot of Vietnamese goods and other stuff. They do have some baos and drinks and like packaged snacks. Their baos and stuff are pretty decent priced but everything else is kinda expensive so we didnt buy much lol, or bc we had a lot of baked stuff before coming here rip

I was on the hook to bring some BBQ pork buns for a get together Sunday morning. This was the only place I found that opens before 10:00 on a Sunday. In fact, they open at 8:00 a.m., which is incredible. It's hard to describe what this place is. There's a lady selling veggies outside the store, kinda like in Chinatown. Inside there's premade food, packaged dry food items, dim sum, sandwiches, etc. But back to the pork buns... They have the steamed and baked kind. The baked ones are very large. The first thing I noticed is the meat is very red, in a very artificial way. The steamed buns tasted ok, but the bun itself was dry. Reminds me pre-frozen buns. The baked bbq pork buns had the same red meat, but the bun was better. It was a little softer and not as dry.I wish I could give this place more stars because the folks working here are very nice, and I appreciate the early hours, but I gotta be real about the food.

3.5 stars to be exact. 5 stars for service from the sweet ladies behind the counter. But the sim sun and pastries left a lot to be desired. I've had a lot better, as the filings were skimpy and not so tasty. We got the red bean bun, baked bbq pork buns, steamed bbq pork buns, lotus moon cake and a custard tart. If you're in the area, it satisfies a semi craving for good dim sum, but a taste won't have you driving out of your way for more.

I heard a lot of great things about this place but was sorely disappointed. Pros: fair price point for the product/quality, chill employee, decent serving size, lots of options. Cons: food is left out for way longer than it should be/improper food storage/temps so be carefulWe bought quite a bit of food. Most of it was edible, but my mungbean with preserved egg pastry ended up being rotten. At first, when cutting it in half, I just figured the smell/flavor of the egg was a bit off, as it was overly metallic as opposed to its usual taste. However, we worked our way around the cake as we where breaking it off for everyone to share, only to cut it open to unveil green mold at the table. (Outside looked fine but on one side of the inside of the cake it was fully a dark fuzzy green). We threw it out immediately and stopped eating it after that. Super disappointing. As someone who at least knows the basics about the food industry, this would NEVER happen if the inventory was well managed, so that food dates where properly logged, with temps logged at least three times a day, etc. It’s not hard to prevent food from molding if it’s well taken care of. No pics bc I don’t want to gross anyone out for reasons explained bellow:The rest of the food was okay. Not the greatest dim sum, etc. but worth the price point. However, the lack of care for the item, makes me worry about the quality of the rest of the food here. If they took better care of their items, it would totally be worth getting. Not giving it 1 star bc hopefully this was a one time fluke due to some lack of foot traffic or whatever, that they can hopefully fix. Will revisit in the future and hopefully update the review.

I came here two days ago from a review on social media and was pleasantly surprised. We got a variety of things to fulfill the 15$ minimum for card transactions, of which was a bahn mi. This was by far my favorite item we bought! They offer a variety of different hot sandwiches and they all looked delish. I am still understanding what foods I love of this variety but it was great! The two workers were extremely sweet and helpful. This shop was a combination of a grocery store and hot food shop so the area was a little busy but it was great!

I saw L&M Bakery & Deli on TikTok and thought we'd give them a try. My sister wanted dim sum so we ordered BBQ pork buns, ha cao, xiu mai, chicken feet and spring rolls. Everything tasted okay except the chicken feet. The chicken feet was bland. Service was nice but TikTok let us down. We won't be back.

Local spot in the Berryessa neighborhood located at small strip mall with 7Leaves. Parking can be busy on weekends. Assorted Vietnamese snacks, hot foods, pastries, breads and more. Usually two people working there and they are courteous. Got some of the individual trays that include:Assorted spring rolls - shrimp/pork, egg/Chinese sausage and pork skinBanh cuon - pork and Woodear filled crepesMam - pork egg meatloafChe troi nuoc - Glutinous rice balls in ginger syrup and coconut milkBánh Ít Trần - Glutinous rice dumplings Banh lot loc - shrimp dumplings Everything was delicious. I want to try the hot food or the bakery items next time.

Love the sesame balls and the Chinese donuts from this shop. Whenever I am in San Jose, I would stop by here to buy these two items. The banh bo nuong is also good here as well, the last time I came they sold out.The banh cuon here is also very good. You can call ahead and they can prepare a platter that is enough to serve for at least three to fours person for lunch or dinner at a very reasonable price. One thing I really like is the banh cuon platter from here comes with all the vegs like bean sprout, mints etc. don’t forget to buy banh cong, it would paired perfectly with the banh cuon. The service is amazing!! Highly recommended this family owned shop.

A hole in the wall “bodega” for fast eats, random dim sum cravings, viet ingredients, and fresh produce on the weekends.

Come first thing in the morning and everything is so fresh. I love getting the dim sum, steamed pork buns, and the coconut buns. Their banh cuon has so much meat in it if you want to order a party tray.

I come here whenever I have a craving for comfort food! Great for take out Vietnamese and Chinese breakfast foods! Service is always quick and friendly! Prices are affordable. Some prior reviews complained about portions but I have found the portions good for me. They take cash, credit and apple/ google pay! I will say that it's best to come in the morning when the food is the freshest. They make a big batch and put it under glass on pans and trays. Some items I have ordered from them include but are not limited to: Coconut and Butter Rolls, Egg Tart Dan Tat, mung bean mochi, coconut peanut mochi, porridge.

Fried food (egg roll and shrimp ball) was cold and old. The shop was very hot and stuffy, but they did look like if the food was fresh it would have been great. I think serving cold food that was cooked many hours before is something that no place should do and they should know better.

This is an average place. The food is ok. They don't have table/chair, so take out is the only option.
