Mitsuwa is a regular stop for our family. We buy all of the Japanese ingredients, snacks, treats, and fresh local tofu from Gombei that I grew up eating. It has one of our favorite ramen places (Santouka-separately reviewed). I'm not a big fan of sweets, and the mochi donuts at other places that I've tried before were good, but too sweet and densely chewy for me. I was looking for some special treats for friends, and I got a half dozen mochi donuts from Mochill inside of Mitsuwa. When I tried strawberry mochi donut, I was very impressed with how light and airy it was, and I could taste the fresh strawberries without it being overly sweet. I'm definitely going to be trying the other mochi donuts next time we're at Mitsuwa!

This establishment is the sister company of yama-chan takoyaki. This location is right next to yama-chan in mitsua marketplace on Saratoga springs. The mochi donuts are pretty darn good. On this occasion, I tried the matcha and black sesame. Both were delicious and freshly made. Stop by for some awesome donuts.

I was searching for good mochi donuts and I found it at mochill mochi! This is a little stand tucked inside the Mitsuwa marketplace. I almost missed it! I love the variety of Christmas theme donuts! I got the strawberry Xmas tree and the salted caramel reindeer. The Strawberry Xmas tree is so good that I can eat it all day! There's a bit of tanginess in the frosting so that it doesn't taste too sugary. It also comes with a cookie bottom! It's the most delicious and elaborate donut I've ever had! Salted caramel reindeer was good but it was hard to taste the salted caramel part. I also ordered a gift box of 6 online. All very fun flavors!

The okonomiyaki didn't come with the sauce. I asked for a small side of sauce and they wouldn't give it to me. All I ate was boiled noodles with an egg and cabbage.

I only had their mochi donuts, and they are good!

This donut shop is conveniently located in Mitsuwa as part of a Japanese takeout place. I come here with my son, and the donuts are always tasty. Although the shop is small, there is always a lot of seating as part of the food court. They also offer beverages like water and soda if you want something to go along with your donuts.Usually their donut flavors are pretty standard-looking, but for Halloween they went all-out with some fall flavors and fancy decorating! The Halloween donuts were $3.80 each, so a little pricier than normal but a nice holiday treat.

Delicious donuts! Very helpful and polite service. I love the Mochi-texture. My favorite is the strawberry flavor.

This particular branch is located inside Mitsuwa; to the left when you walk in...past Hokkaido Ramen Santouka. They do a great job with the Mochi Donuts here. The Mochi Cupcakes are also very good. While this isn't a standalone venue, the menu here seems to be expanding frequently. In addition to their standard Mochi Donuts they keep adding new items. Not that I'm complaining...just an observation. Actually I'm ecstatic! I haven't seen some of these creative new items before. #Sugar ~ Matcha Mochisada - 5/5 These were amazing. Not too sweet or bitter, perfectly balanced Matcha cream on the inside. ~ Mochi Cupcake Black Sesame - 4/5 Excellent flavor. Not too sweet or bitter and the texture is spot on; delightfully chewy without being too dry. I prefer the Cupcakes over the donuts, better texture for me. ~ Matcha BRIOCHE - 4/5 Another brilliant creation. Mochi Brioche with Matcha cream filling. Delish! Can't wait to see what else they're going to come up with.

Their bakery and sweets are not bad. But NEVER get their hot snacks, especially Takoyaki. As someone who had the real deal in Japan before, the one we got was basically un-servable. The outside doesn't have the crunch like it should, and it's drenched in sauces. It's pretty bad. Even I've made better ones than they did. It's such a shame.

Neat mochi donuts place, but mochi donuts don't taste as fresh in comparison to other places. Nonetheless it's still good and worth checking out.

$4 for a donut and they don’t even accept cash
