Drinks come out fast. About 5 mins. Taste great. Waffles come out slow. Over 30 min wait time for 2 waffles. After 30 minutes I checked with them and they actually lost my order - if I didn't check I would have never gotten my waffles. Tastes great. If you don't get your waffle in 15 minutes maybe check with them to make sure they didn't lose your order.

I've always been a sugarcane fan. But when ococane opened in orange county and we had no comparable drink up here, I was so bummed! Nuoc Mia Vien Dong finally caught up and offered a comparable menu. The place is fairly clean with limited seating. The employees are kind and are quick to service you (although I can imagine a wait if there's a crowd since there are only 2-3 working from what I can see). I called in one evening right before closing and she kindly forewarned me that the store will close if I don't make it in by closing time. I appreciated that rather than the typical stores that won't serve you 15-20 minutes prior to closing. - Sugarcane + coconut is my favorite. I'm a simple girl, you don't need to spruce up my drink too much! - sugarcane + kumquat is my mom's favorite. There's the obvious sweetness from the sugarcane that is juxtaposed with the tangy-citrus flavors provided by the kumquat. - che 3 mau - typical and nothing to write home about If you're impartial to overly sweet drinks, don't let the sweetness deter you! I always ask for extra ice and the drink gets more refreshing as the ice melts and dilutes the drink! :) With summer around the corner, I can confidently say that this will be my go to spot for a refreshment whenever I'm in the area.

Sugarcane juice is good and the pandas waffle is delicious but keep in mind you will have to wait over an hour for a waffle. They definitely need a better process or more waffle machines

Drinks and waffles are good but they take a long time to make. I think having more waffle makers will help. They had 3.

TLDR: looong waits but good waffles! Nuoc Mia Vien Dong 2 is in Vietnam Town; I remember their location vividly being toward the entrance of the plaza, but it seems like they recently relocated to a different space a little deeper into the plaza! We came on a Sunday afternoon with plans of just trying out their waffles as a quick snack. As other reviews mention: the wait for the waffles is pretty long so just be mindful if you don't have much time to wait around. We ordered 3 and it took around 20-25 minutes (luckily not as long as other people have experienced)- it'd be helpful if they gave customers an expected wait time! I tried the pandan waffle and it was good. Flavors were all there and it was SUPER crisp on the exterior. The only downside though is that I wish it was served a bit warmer; I was watching as they made the waffles and it seemed like they were just being made in an arbitrary order vs. by groups of customers. The waffle that I was served had sat there for probably 10 minutes before our other 2 taro waffles were ready, and they weren't serving the waffles until our entire order was ready.

Definitely would have gotten much higher ratings but the ridiculously long wait is... well, ridiculous. This place used to be up the street on its own, then it joined with a restaurant, now it's on its own again at a different corner spot. The pandan waffles are the best but you'll need to wait 30 minutes plus. Why?? You know people like them so just buy more waffle makers. The Che was good in the original place but they've limited the number of options now. The place is small and not much ambience so come get what you want and go. It's a place with fun drinks and waffles so I'm hoping they will run it better like a legitimate business.

Been craving for some sugarcane juice and this is my go to spot. They also have pandan waffles. You won't be disappointed. I ate the whole pandan waffle on my way home haha

I heard great things about their pandan waffle, so I decided to give it a try. We went on a Saturday so it was busy and we waited 30 minutes to get our waffles. We ordered 2 pandan waffles because it's my favorite flavor. She called our number and I noticed a man going up first to grab our bag and she hands it to him without checking his receipt, so we're thinking oh maybe we miss heard. She took our receipt and realized she gave our waffles to the man. Instead of making a new batch for us she heads over to the man and takes the bag, but he had already touch the waffle and then gives it to us! I was like umm what??? I asked for new ones but she didn't understand me and went back to making waffles. We ended up leaving because we didn't want to wait anymore and she looked stressed out trying to get the orders out. We got over it thinking the waffles better be worth it. But sadly, it wasn't! It was dry like so crispy the roof of my mouth was hurting. I think she left it in the maker too long. Maybe this time was a fluke but I'm not sure if we'll come back here again.

Currently sitting in front of this place passing that 40 minute mark where it seems to be a normal wait time for waffles. It's insane this place expects people to wait this long for a couple waffles with no prior warning of wait time if you haven't already looked at the reviews of this place on Yelp. I can see that this place gets good reviews about the actual waffles itself but the long wait time outweighs the goodness of the waffles. Update: the waffles were meh.

Drinks are great. Sugar cane is pressed fresh in store for everyone to see. Unfortunately, we've had poor service twice in a row. On a Friday afternoon, we waited over 30 minutes for two nước mía. There was no warning about any delay, and frankly it's absurd to wait this long for any drink. Imagine waiting half an hour for a coffee at Starbucks. Things happen and the drinks are great, so we went back again today on a Saturday afternoon. Drinks came out promptly this time, but we also ordered a waffle. We waited over 40 minutes for that waffle, again with no indication it would take anywhere near that long. These experiences are really frustrating and make it harder to come back, no matter how good the drinks are.

I drove all the way from SF to satisfy my food trip but this place didnt satisfy me. The service at the counter wasn't friendly! The wait for that waffles was ridiculous long! What made me so mad is someone ordered waffles and never picked it up and some of the waffles they ordered was given to me! Coz its not fresh/warm and i saw them putting it back in the rack! The drinks isnt even good! So disappointed but im glad i tried it.

Located in Viet Town Plaza, there indoor and outdoor seating. One unisex bathroom. WARNING: Don't get the waffles unless you have a lot of time. It took 40min for my waffle and it wasn't that busy of a day. The waffle is Belgium style, crispy & airy. They were out of my favorite kumquat sugarcane juice so I settled with pennyworth sugarcane. Also got a pineapple sugarcane for later. All refreshing on a warm day.

Excellent! I'm used to the waffle with the smaller squares but I like how the bigger squares can be crispy. Nước mía is tasty too! Fresh

the pandan waffle is so crispy with a nice chew and they make it fresh for you when you order it! the nouc mia is also really refreshing and pairs really well with the waffle.

I got the vien dong special and it was just aweful. It was mostly ice, not filled and tasted like refrigerator. The jelly was not pandan had it only had a few bits of coconut. I threw it in the trash cause it was trash. Wasted 8 dollars.
