Probably the best bahn mi sandwich I’ve ever had. A large roll packed with pickled vegetables and meat. I initially thought it might be too small from the picture, but mostly was I wrong. I finished it and was stuffed! The Vietnamese iced coffee was of the hook as well. Well worth a try.

Although I was pleased to find an Asian food court, the food was okay. The service was good and the ambiance wasn't busy. Although I came for the live music, I might recommend trying something different from what I ordered.

I wanted to go somewhere to have an early dinner with my aunt and I wasn't too sure where to go. Since there's so many different places to eat at in San Pedro marketplace, I figured we could go there and pick some thing. We ended up going to this cute Vietnamese spot right at the Side entrance. It was perfect because my aunt ordered the eggrolls, and I got some spring rolls and with my stupid food allergies, there's no MSG in their spring rolls! Yes, I'm allergic to monosodium glutamate and I'm Hapa! Ughhhh fun stuff! Anyways, the gentleman at the front counter was very busy, but took our order, and we also got a strawberry tea, and I got a lychee tea. I loved all the different Boba and lychee jelly inside my tea, and the spring rolls tasted very fresh! The only funny thing was is, the gentleman didn't give us any utensils. I had to go back after we sat down and pick up utensils . lol Everything else was fine within the service and we were able to sit down at this cute Italian spot and watch the two people there clean out their giant pasta machine. Apparently it was making the pasta stick instead of separate. I've never seen a giant pasta machine like that, so it was very interesting for my aunt and me to watch them assemble and disassemble the machine. Since I have a gluten allergy, I can't really eat there but my aunt said she definitely wants to try it! Lol we will definitely be back to this Vietnamese spot, On A Roll for a light dinner or snack/appetizer.

OMG! San Jose has this San Pedro Square downtown 5 minutes from the Airport and transit buses and light rail access. It was like a FOOD HEAVEN so many different types of food. Mexican, Asian, Ice Cream, Pizza and Burgers and Sandwiches and Hot Dogs and Peruvian and Indian food and Coffee bars and Alcohol Beer & Wine bars. The people there were from all nationalities. Like one big combination pizza. The outdoor seats and indoor were perfect for the visit. You got to try and check out San Pedro Square it has to be one of San Jose's BEST FUN places to visit. I stopped for a sandwich at this place called On a Roll. So many different types of sandwiches. I ordered the Tri Tip and it was splendid. With some Coconut Milk Tea and Boba beans on the bottom. Took me to NOM NOM city. The male cook and cashier was very nice and friendly and spoke good English. He looked like the owner/manager. I will be back to try the rest of the menu.

I love this family owned business! They're always busy and turn around is fast. Any of the food I have tried here is good! Service is consistently good. They remember their usual customers and that is so refreshing these days! I would recommend anyone to try this place located in the market! It's worth it

This was my first time in San Pedro Market and the first store I saw when I walked in was On A Roll. But, I did walk through all the eateries to see the endless option. I still came back to On A Roll since I was craving a banh mi. I really appreciated the Asian fusion cuisine and some of my favorite Vietnamese dishes. My friend and I split a grilled pork banh mi and spring rolls. The banh mi was filled with lots of delicious pork and pickled veggies. It definitely hit the spot and fulfilled by banh mi craving. The spring rolls came with fried wonton chips and yummy peanut sauce. The peanut sauce was my favorite and a really good addition to the spring rolls. The service was pretty quick and around a lot of the other eateries. Will definitely be back whenever I'm craving some good Vietnamese food.

Portions are pretty big, prices are relatively low. Definitely recommend. Chicken pad Thai and ribeye rice are my top 2!

This is for Pad Thai only, did not have anything else but the Thai Tea which was just your average tea.I was encouraged by the glowing review from someone about the Pad Thai but here's my take. To start let's establish the fact that it is not bad, I wouldn't discourage anyone from ordering it but be prepared to let them know how spicy you want it, or if you don't want it spicy.I've been eating spicy food all my life so it doesn't bother me but we were not prepared for how spicy it would be, no one even asked us so we assumed it would be non spicy like every restaurant we've had it at. My wifey doesn't really like spicy food so it was not enjoyable at all for her. If you don't eat spicy food don't forget to tell them or else you're going to be sad.Besides that it was good enough, I don't like the wide noodles but that's a personal preference. It has some kind of fishcake in lieu of tofu maybe it's a Vietnamese fishcake? Interesting. I'm snacking on the leftovers as I write this at 1am so there's definitely something I like about it, almost like a different dish, like if a cook from another SE country made it...hmm wonder why... ;)

First time trying this place and the spring rolls did not disappoint. Taste red fresh and delicious. The sauce was also good. Very reasonably priced for the portion as well so win win. I'll be back to try more things
