this is truly one of the most authentic shanghainese restaurants in the cupertino and san jose area. their specialty is the sheng jian bao (pan-fried buns) and xiao long bao (soup dumplings). this restaurant is usually not busy at all, but the service can still be a tad bit slow due to limited workers. the prices have also gone up recently, but the quality is still authentic nonetheless.

Food is above average, some dishes are reasonably priced. Nothing out standing but suits for average Joe. No high expectations. I think portion of each dish is good for 2.

Good service and excellent prices. Their lionhead meatballs and soups are wonderful. Check out the lunch menu: such good deals ! Local mom and pop shop and I love supporting small businesses. If you're looking for traditional Chinese food, come here! You won't regret it.

Very authentic Shanghai food - it lacks service but food is really delicious. It is right next to the sogo vegi Mecca in Cupertino. I was first a bit disappointed with the ambience but boy... the food made up for it and more. If you are looking for authentic Shanghai food , this is the place

I should have known not to eat here when there were no customers at 1pm. The most bland Chinese food. Maybe their specialty dishes are good, but what I had was not good. I knew I should have went to the taco truck in the parking lot instead

I really wanted to like this place since a few Shanghainese friends recommended it. The customer service is top notch (5 stars, super accommodating in wanting to fire up the dishes so the pick up time would be as fresh as possible.) Ordered: Fish ball soup - light airy and fluffy this was really good. The broth tasted clean and light. Loved the bamboo pith in the soup also. Braised wheat gluten appetizer - done really well also The rest of the items were a miss. Pan fried buns - I think they didn't use fresh oil on my order as the buns tasted okay inside but the outside tasted rancid. Rice cakes and mustard greens - same. Oil was rancid and the mustard greens were almost brown. Seafood and tofu - don't order. Not worth it. Two pieces each of shrimp, fish and calamari in a chicken stock thickened with corn starch. No flavor and very oily with the rancid oil flavor. Also the pricing was very different from their website and menu.

This small Chinese Shanghai style is very authentic. The smoked fish, drunk chicken, fried bun... delicious and so yummy.

Best Shanghaiese restaurant in the area. Their appetizers (the Shanghai dim sum) are the best, xlb, spring rolls, smoked fish etc. soups too are very good.

Food is good and size is decent. We got they quite often, It is just a small shop located behind B of A and the gasoline station.

Our family really likes this restaurant. The food tastes like home cooking. Just wish the owner was a little more customer service oriented. We love the lionhead meatballs and the seaweed fried fish. Definitely order ahead or you will wait a long time.

Ordered ahead of time for lunch takeout. What I love about this place is that they don't add any MSG. Got kung pao chicken, Mongolian beef, Peking spareribs and white rice. They were all delicious and flavorful.

Shanghai spring rolls are the best here but no comments with other dishes

Good chinese takeout spot! As a family, we probably grab takeout here about once every two weeks. The owner is quick to take orders on the phone and knows our order by heart now! We normally get salt and pepper pork, eggplant, and a green. They have a 3 dish special + rice, which usually ends up being $30-$35 or so. Food is hot and fresh!
