Deceptively named to capitalize on the recognition of another long-established (and great) local restaurant. Food is ok but nothing to write home about.

I picked up lunch from here. Thai basil ? chicken with rice. They gave clear soup as a side which was okay. Overall I didn’t like the flavors, there were hardly any veggies except beans. The dish had little sauce for the amount of rice they gave. It started to taste bland.

Currently now waiting on 25+ minutes for my order with pink my 1 person ahead of me. Wait time would not be an issue if the, very large lady, behind the counter has any sense of customer service. She refuses to customize any orders/accept your request for extra chili's. She is the main reason for my poor response. Will definitely NOT BE BACK

Stunning. Perfect in everyway

Great place, love the rice. The soup is lite, very tasty. I did notice the portion is smaller since Covid. Still a great quick meal for us.

My very first time here and not the last. The menu is simple and easy, their main focus is the chicken of course : ) Was greeted immediately- very friendly service. I asked her what the most popular dish was- the original chicken and rice. I went for the combo- original and breaded order to go. The container didn't look that big upon first glance , but boy was I fooled, I was completely full afterwards. Plenty of mild ginger flavored rice, with a few pieces of ginger present. Original and breaded chicken were cut up into slices. Three different sauces- I poured the clear broth over the rice and dipped my chicken into the red sauce...I didn't care for the dark sauce too much. My fave was the original chicken , the breaded did not have much flavor. It was good to try, but if I was to revisit, my go to would be the original chicken. FYI- with Yelp check in you get a free green Thai Tea! Sooo good! Even better it's non dairy- they use creamer. Thank you!

**doordash review** This is the best post-workout meal near my area. It's so simple yet so well done that it's the perfect thing after a workout for some "brotein". If you're not sick of me for saying that word and continue reading, I'll elaborate. The kao mun gai was delicious. Fluffy rice that is so clearly seasoned in a chicken broth. Chicken perfectly poached. A sauce that's just right to cut into the carbs. Comparing to rooster and rice at the price point, it comes pretty darn close. My only notes are around the portion sizing of protein could be bigger, I had a large uncut piece of ginger in my plate, and the soup is alright. I have had this bowl many times, and I will continue to do so (granted I workout).

This is a small restaurant which serves up some yummy food. I had the fried chicken pad Thai and the flavors were wonderful. The fried chicken especially was great. I am a fan and will be back for sure when I am in the area. The lady who waited on us was very warm and cheerful. I wish them the very best!

The chicken pad Thai is really good and it's a charming little spot. I ordered take out but I wouldn't mind dining in next time

This place is inconsistent with their drinks. I have been going to this place to get Tuk Tuk blended drinks. I come here for this drink and this is the third time that my drink was not properly made. As you see in the posts of other people and or their picture of this drink it has toppings and drizzle of chocolate. I had my drink delivered to me and none of the toppings were added. Some people may think this is petty but I felt like I was cheated. Anyways this it's sad cause I liked this place but with the inconsistencies, not coming back...

I’m going against the grain because I was extremely disappointed by this place. Seeing the great reviews plus fried chicken livers on their menu got me to race over for lunch. We were the only customers dining in.The wait for food was on the long side but when it’s cooked to order, I can totally respect the patience required for a freshly made meal. Upon arrival it became clear why it took so long: my fried chicken quarter and livers were overcooked to the point of toughness, which is difficult to do with dark meat. The crispy skin was nice after I plucked out numerous disagreeable feathers. Their special blue sticky rice was dry and flavorless. The included chili sauce (no other option) was too sweet…luckily there was sriracha available on the counter. My GF was pleased with her fried gai KMG (kao mun gai) despite the $3 charge to add a fried egg, which I thought was steep. I still might have given them a second chance except that when GF ordered a milk tea with whole milk, the clerk explained they only had non-dairy milk. It wasn’t “Sorry, we ran out of milk. Is a non-dairy substitute alright?” This led me to think they never have dairy milk, yet nothing stated that anywhere. There were simply too many points of failure to attribute the experience to being an off day

The food is good but it is never ready when you get there, why say it is ready on the app when it is not.30 minutes waiting after the pickup time

Had several items here and it was all good. The fried chicken and steamed chicken combo with rice was ::chef's kiss:: with yummy sauces. There was so much rice that I had enough for the next day to eat with eggs and some of their cucumber salad. I don't ever eat raw onions but their cucumber salad is perfect. We also had the roti with curry sauce, tender texture with flavorful yellow curry. The pad thai was also delicious, as was the thai tea. Will definitely be back and will also try their full restaurant.

The khao mun gai is usually my go to dish, and it's been on point each time. As the many reviews before mine have already shared, the chicken is perfectly poached and juicy, the rice is fluffy and fragrant, and the dipping sauce is very flavorful. Portion wise, there is a lot more rice than chicken. However, there's still enough chicken to fill me up on a very hungry day. The portion of chicken is a little on the smaller side for my husband who prefers more protein in his meals, but he still enjoys the food here nonetheless. There aren't many places around Almaden that serve authentic and delicious Asian food, but Oros is definitely one we frequent regularly!
