As a first-time customer of this place, I eagerly anticipated trying their chicken pho for delivery. They had a good ratings on doordash but boy was I disappointed. The chicken in the pho was disappointingly tough and overcooked, detracting from the overall enjoyment of the dish. Additionally, the soup lacked the rich, aromatic flavors that I typically associate with a good bowl of pho. While I understand that every restaurant has its off days, my initial impression was unfortunately underwhelming. As a fan of Vietnamese cuisine, I had hoped for a more satisfying introduction to this restaurant. Despite this, I remain open to giving Pho 21 another chance in the future, in the hopes that they can deliver a more enjoyable dining experience.

My visit to Pho 21 left me with a rather unsavory impression. The pho, which is typically celebrated for its rich and flavorful broth, fell short of expectations. The broth lacked depth and seemed under-seasoned, leaving a bland taste that failed to capture the essence of traditional Vietnamese cuisine. Additionally, the accompanying ingredients, such as the herbs and noodles, felt lackluster in freshness and quality. Overall, the experience was disappointing, highlighting a missed opportunity for a satisfying bowl of pho at Pho 21.

This place is busy for a reason, Their pho is really good. We had the vegetarian option, and it was packed with fresh veggies in a delicious broth.

Having had pho in many places in the bay area, this was probably the best so far. Other placed use the wrong noodle, the wrong ingredients, or downright the wrong style of soup for pho. The noodles here were not too expensive, 3 bowls totaling about $60 with tip. Here, you have the choice of noodle options, the flat traditional noodle, or the thin angel hair pho noodle. I ordered the angel hair thin rice noodle as this is what I usually order. The soup broth was done well, with a decent amount of meat and noodles. The spring rolls were large and very satisfying. The service is done with via robot or by human. The robot is very accurate, pulling up to mere inches from the table and turning to allow you to grab your order! Very innovative and fresh new idea to use robots to deliver pho.The restaurant itself is nestled in San Jose, right on King Road. It's in a VERY popular Vietnamese little strip mall, so parking may be tight. Inside, it's fairly loud, with music playing, people talking, and robots delivering food. If I lived near here, this would compete for one of the most regular places I would frequent! Give it a try!

I've been here multiple times, and each time I come, I'm always hungry to the point that I forget to take pictures! My family generally enjoys having pho here for their quality and generous portions compared to other stores near my neighborhood. It gets busy on the weekends, so time your outings accordingly. Parking can get pretty tight and scary as well.Menu is pretty easy to navigate. They have a cute robot helping them deliver drinks to their table unattended. Their robots also help bring pho to the table, but the server will come to offload your bowl to your table. It seems pretty thought out for your average table of 4 or fewer people.I had issues last weekend when my family came in as a large party of 10 people. They brought out 4 bowls at a time and had little notes to identify which bowls were on the severing robot. Because all the variation/combinations of meat you can order in a standard bowl, they all looked similar. Our sever misidentified a few bowls and gave it to the wrong individual at our table. By the time they noticed their mistake, some family members had already squirted their Sriracha and hoison sauce into the bowl. They offered no corrections. My family didn't want to make a big fuss out of it. Also, I noticed my spoon was chipped from feeling an unpleasant texture while i ate. Fortunately, it wasn't sharp but the. Staff should inspect their tableware once in a while to check for wear and tears.

3.4 stars! This review is for a doordash order. The spring rolls were really good! 4.3 for those. Avocado smoothies were a solid 4 stars as well. But man, the sampler needed some flavors. Its enough to just fry the items. It needed seasonings for sure.

My favorite place to go to get Nui Xao Bo Luc Lac - Shaken Beef w/Pasta! The food comes out quick and the service is amazing! They have a variety of boba drinks to order on the menu as well! A great place to eat with friends and family, esp on the weekends!
