As I've noted before, I've never been to this place. Evidently, if you drive by it, Google asks for a review. My kids seem to like it, so there's that.Again- soup is just lazy brothy food - diluted stuff to make it cost more per ounce.I do like French onion soup, though mostly for the bread and the imagined French superiority in all things peripheral to actual food (snails, frogs and goose liver).

Metal piece from Pho. Told the server and get a new noodle and he said it was like a service dish.

*Non-Pho Review*As someone who doesn't like pho, I can't speak to the namesake dish of the restaurant but for all those who are often dragged to Vietnamese restaurants by their pho-loving relatives & friends, this one's for you.Pho Spot absolutely knocks it out of the park with one key item, their Grilled Pork. The flavor-packed pork at Pho Spot is far and away the best I've found at any pho restaurant. Combine great meat with generous portions, fresh veggies, and a high-quality crispy french roll and you have yourself one of the best Banh Mi in San Jose. The pork is good enough to stand on its own, so if you are feeling a different option I can definitely recommend the Grilled Pork Rice Plate as well. While I can't personally speak to the pho, my wife really likes it and she is quite critical of pho overall so I would say that's definitely a good sign. In terms of ambiance, it's a very clean and inviting space and they've always provided us with excellent service. If you are looking for your next bowl of pho or just craving some Vietnamese, I would definitely recommend checking out Pho Spot.

I would have given this a 5 but using plastic glasses to serve water in, is simply wrong these days given what we know of the poor shape our planet is in so when I was asked how everything was and when I mentioned this fact I was met with a defensive attitude by the person checking me out. He stated that all restaurants do this which is absolutely false( I eat out often) I was not allowed to finish a sentence . There Pho was quite good but I won't go back for ethical reasons

I've never had pho that didn't have any spices before, so that is new. Couldn't smell or tastwle any ginger or onion either. Also their meatballs are not made in-house.If this is what people who got anosmia from Covid felt like, I feel for them.

The best pho in San Jose. Small hole in the wall. The flavors are incredible. Authentic Vietnamese food. Also very clean, neat and tidy. No food on the floor. Love it!

I first had a poor impression because two fried spring rolls were $7.50, and not particularly large. Thought that was pricey and skimpy. So I was not optimistic about the main courses we ordered. But when the rice plates and bun noodle main course dishes came out, I was very pleasantly surprised. Very large portions, top quality fresh and healthy food, very tasty too.. Nice big cucumbers and tomatoes on the side. A couple surprise small bowls of chicken broth soup as extras.Good food. With lots left over to go. Will eat here again if in the neighborhood.Vegetarian options: SomeKid-friendliness: Kids welcome and my kid loved the food.
