Poke House has been my go to around the SJ area. As someone who enjoys poke and am more of a toppings fan, I find Poke House has good options for both, with a good portion size. It's located in a plaza so plenty of parking, with outdoor seating for its customers. I took off one star due to my pick up experience. I typically order online and come by to pick up. However, I was 45 min away from the destination and decided to do a later pick up time so it'd be ready in 45 min. 5 minutes go by, and I get a notification that my poke is ready. By the time I arrive, I see that my order has been sitting on the shelf, not even in a fridge by any means. Kind of disappointed to know that my food has been sitting out for 40 minutes and wasn't made for my pickup time. Fish was no longer cold or tasted fresh, food felt like room temp and dry by then. Besides this, I find the shop good otherwise. I won't recommend doing later pick ups, on time/ASAP seems to be the best option for them and you.

I've had plenty of poke places, but this place was by far my worst. The sauces were very bland, so it generally tasted bland and dry. I would say the fishes tasted not fresh as well, no flavor. I had to try and finish it because it was kind of mediocre. It was alright...not horrible, just better poke places around tbh.

Every experience I've had has been pleasant and absolutely worth the drive! They haven't gotten a single order wrong, the employees and owner are all very kind and polite!!! I would give this place infinite stars if I could! The food is AMAZING, too. The atmosphere is calm and the place is always spotless. I love this place!

Bad service, terrible menu, there's no real menu anywhere unless you grab a pamphlet which immediately turns to trash after you leave, got like 3 different sauces and a decent amount of toppings but the food was still bland.

Note to the owner and management team. It might be time for a refresher course in customer service for your staff. We stopped by this evening around 7:30. There was only one other customer in the store, however there were at least four employees working behind the counter. NOT A SINGLE ONE greeted us when we walked in. Not a smile, not a "how can I help you?" There was a young man at the counter when we walked in who literally stared at us without saying a word until we placed our order. I'm not exaggerating when I say there may have been a total of six words spoken to us from the time we entered until the time we left. I don't think we even got a "thank you" when we left, but the cashier was quick to flip that tablet around to ask for a tip. This might have been the spot when it first opened, but there's good poke and sushi on every street corner in San Jose now. If you want to compete for our business in the future, you might want to start by hiring friendlier employees.

My go-to poke spot in the bay. The prices have gone up over the years, but their portion sizes always make up for it. I usually get half salmon and half garlic oyster tuna. The workers are always very nice and accommodating when I ask for extra toppings or adjustments!

Pros - good poke when you're in a pinch! Cons - super expensive, pretty limited topping options, and minimal seating. I got a small build your own poke bowl and it came with two scoops of protein (+ toppings) for about $15. I'd recommend the salmon since you usually can't go wrong with it! I wasn't too big of a fan of the pineapples since they were rather sour. They're pretty generous with the rice serving too, and I easily got full. Parking is okay but can be hectic during busy hours. It was raining the day we visited, so there were only seats along the wall available if you were dining in. Not the best poke I've had but overall a 4/5!

This location is ok... Fish is fresh but I'm not at all impressed with the quality of the other ingredients. The avocado is 90% black or mushy when I order for delivery and can't quality check on the spot. Also, the rice is overcooked. Other than that, place is clean and staff is pleasant.

I was craving poke, but I highly regret that I went today. Now I understand why the rating is 3.9 stars. Customer service is not the greatest. They gave me attitude for asking for extra toppings.I ordered a large and a medium bowl, and when it came to adding in the fishes for the food, they put literally half a scoop of what they usually do for all of the 4 choices of protein. I can't even ask for extra because knowing them, they will charge me extra, which is absurd, because before they would put a FULL scoop for the same price.For the toppings, such as onions, mangos, etc., I had to add for extra and they gave me attitude for it.When it came to sauces, they put so much sauce that it's salty and it's not edible anymore.When they were putting in the mixed in food items with the sauce, they were not careful and they were spilling things, whereas before on other days, the people are very careful with how they handle the food.I had to ask for extra ingredients because they put half of what they usually put. This is unacceptable.This transaction happened on January 15th, 2024, at 5:29pm. Check your cameras, check your staff, perhaps the staff need to be retrained.Unacceptable.

Food is bomb, although the portions are getting smaller and smaller each time I go. I usually order this place on Doordash and it's always fire. My favorite bowl is the Tuna Lovers one -- SO GOOD!!!!!! Just one thing though, I walked in to order for the first time and a kid behind the counter audibly groaned in annoyance when I asked him for a spam musubi roll lol. It didn't really bother me, just thought it was funny.
