It's called kumako ramen now, but ramen is still amazing!

Ramen Tenma has been part of our community for over 10 years and that is making it really difficult to say goodbye to. It's a very hidden gem here in San Jose as the only social media promoting this is Facebook and it's really impressive it has gone this long even in this very competitive market. I have never met a chef who loved both his job and his loyal customers as much as this one. Although there are fancier ramen places you can find they can never replicate the atmosphere this man produces. Whenever I ate his ramen I could feel the heart and soul poured into every spoonful I took. I always enjoyed his Okinawa soba with pork spare ribs as no other ramen restaurant offered it. Occasionally I'd walk by and see his very loyal customers return for more bowls. In the inside you can see him cooking ramen all by himself and the board used to measure the heights of the kids who grew up with this ramen place. I got the chance to say goodbye to the owner and his restaurant. I hope he has a good future ahead of him on whatever he wants to do. But for now the new restaurant taking over, Kumako Ramen, has some very big shoes to fill in for this community.

One of the best places to have Ramen. Unfortunately this place is closing... this place has Ramen that tastes better than Bobby Flay and Gordon Ramsey working together on a bowl of Ramen. multiply that by a million and you're still no where near as good as this. by the time I'm writing this review this store will close in 2 weeks. The closing of this amazing restaurant breaks my heart because I have been going here since I was 2 and now I am 13. The chef, Senna was the best person I could possibly know.

After 1 1l2 year with pandemic, return to have a bowl of ramen with same chef cooking is super satisfying, same consistence quality of broth, noodles and meat, this is one man chef running the noodle shop just like before the pandemic, same quality of service and food, 9

One and only Okinawa Love Ramen Tenma! Mr Senaga was a disciple of Ramen Halu who has mastered the Tonkotsu ramen and made some Okinawa twists are amazing! Gotta try! Gotta Have it! Delicious chewy non saggy noodles and amazing soups and toppings filled with Umami! Very friendly and cozy?

Good ramen and really friendly staff! But BE AWARE of your surroundings at that parking lot!! We got our car broken into there and being there only 20mins or so! Someone must be sitting at the lot just targeting people. Unfortunately, it had led me to not come back there unless I have someone waiting in the car!

Everything is packed nicely and the broth is separated so nothing gets mushy. They're also great about getting your order correct if you make changes.

Have been coming here for years, went this last weekend. I was able to enjoy the spicy ramen outside, good service, great food. Its been a hard year for most businesses, but this place hasn't changed, still as delicious as always. They are following all covid-19 guidelines, will definitely be back. Also, the shrimp gyoza is fantastic.
