I haven't written a Yelp review in a few years, but this food was so good that I had to. Tucked away in a quiet residential neighborhood, Rolling Oaxaca is truly a hidden gem and 100% worth checking out. It's run by a super nice family and you can tell they really pour their love into their food -- everything is made-to-order and comes out hot and fresh. My partner and I were really hungry so we tried like...75% of the menu. We got 4 tacos (steak, shrimp, tripe, and chorizo), birria sopes, al pastor and tripe empanadas, and al pastor quesadillas. Probably got enough food for like 4 people, but it was so fricken' yummy that we ate it all!!Everything was amazing. The meat was seasoned and cooked perfectly (juicy steak, fresh shrimp, deliciously charred chorizo, spicy crispy tripe, tender birria, and well-marinated al pastor). The three homemade salsas were spicy, acidic, and sweet in all the right ways to balance out the richness of the meat. And I was blown away by their empanadas, which look more like hard-shell tacos, but the dough is nice and buttery and cooked to a super-satisfying crispy/crunchy texture. I don't know how food this good only has a handful of reviews, but do yourself a favor and come here before they start forming massive lines!

Awesome neighborhood spot at the owners backyard fence. I'll definitely be a repeat customer! Cash only and there's a nice little bench and table built around a tree that you can use to eat your meal.

First time trying this place. I was on my way home and seen the food truck and I thought let me give this place a try. Usually my go to at any taco truck are sopes however this day that I went they were sold out so I decided to try the empanadas and they didn't disappoint. They were delicious. So flavorful and crunchy! The food took about 20 mins to be prepared and at first I thought ugh thats long but after seeing and tasting how fresh the food was I will definitely be returning to get them again. over all the food was yummy and very fresh.

Was looking through Yelp for somewhere to eat, came across this place, and wanted to check it out. The food truck is located in a neighborhood on Southside Dr. They accept cash and/or venmo. The woman who took our order was very kind. I ordered 3 tacos (birria, camarón, and asada), and my boyfriend ordered a burrito with tripe. We also got a large agua de jamaica. Took about 15 minutes to receive our order. Everything was so fresh and delicious, and they were very generous with the amount of salsa they gave. Our order also came with two stickers of their logo! This really feels like a hidden gem--definitely worth checking out. I'm glad I came across this place because I now have a new go-to place! I'll have to try the empanadas next time. :)

We love tacos and we tried most of the tacos joints in San Jose. From restaurants to taco trucks. For a good while, l we thought we found the best go to taco joint. Until we tried in Rolling Oaxaca tacos and that changed everything. Rolling Oaxaca have the best tripas tacos in all of San Jose. Hands down! They are a family owned taco truck operating in the heart of the neighborhood in East South San Jose, on Southside Drive. Ironically, their place of business is next to my niece's house. We recently had the opportunity to try our their tacos while visiting my niece and it was love at first sight. It's nothing like we ever had. The deep flavor of traditional Oaxaca cooking. With homemade flavors and touch. First bite into the taco, you can taste softness of tortilla, the meat is full of flavor yet subtle. Not only the tacos are good but their sauce is extra a bonus. Must have it with the orange sauce if you love spicy. We use the left overs to dip our salami and meats. The quality is pretty up there. The owners are humble, down to earth and aspiring young entrepreneurs. They are Living the American Dream and upholding their family's traditional recipe of making the finest tacos. We tried their tacos and just were an instant hooked and through our appreciation of their food and the way they conduct their business, my family and I developed a bond/friendship with the owners. Oscar and his sisters, Kim are genuine individuals putting love and care in their food to feed the community. If you want to try real, authentic bomb diggity Mexican tacos with world class service, go try Rolling Oaxaca tacos, you will not be disappointed.
