The dumplings and noodles were okay. Just average. The vegetables were amazing! We ordered the kale, cabbage and green beans (kale #1). The portions were very small though and way too expensive. $13 each.

It's convenient if you are in the downtown area but I've had significantly better places for dumplings and ramen.I found the food overly sweet and not that savory. The food has a weird greasy taste/feel.The garlic needles are a bust.The monk SJV which are pan fried dumplings were quite good. Dumplings overall are pretty decent but they are on the sweeter side.

Ordered the glass noodles, vegetarian SJB (sen jian bao- pan fried dumplings), shrimp har gao, and ube dumplings.There weren't that many vegetarian options, especially no vegetarian dumplings with broth which was a bit disappointing.Both the shrimp har gao skin and the glass noodles felt a bit soggy/ not as chewy as expected, giving them an unsatisfying texture and mouth feel.The vegetarian SJB were better, they pan fry the bottom so there's a really nice crispy crunch, but the fillings weren't that flavorful.The ube dumplings dessert was also fine, but the skin once again had a slightly mushier feel.Service was also a bit slow, there was only one server who was doing their best for a packed restaurant during Sunday lunch.

We ordered their original SJB, pork XLB and a Salina meatball. For a restaurant that named itself Serious Dumpling, they seriously underperformed. The SJB was overcooked and almost burnt in the bottom, the XLB was overcooked, both were too dry. The meatballs was meh. Honestly, it will be hard to find worse dumplings in the Bay area. Only saving grace they have is a draft beer selection to wash the dry dumplings down my throat.

Took my parents here who have never had dumplings and they loved it. We had the beef, pork and shrimp, and veggie SJBs, charsiu bao, and chicken and pork xlb. Everything was really delicious but our unanimous favorite was the beef SJB. Definitely will be coming back when I get a soup dumpling craving.
This was my first time ever eating dumplings and the waiter Jacob was SUPER nice and explained everything. Definitely will recommend if your around this area!!!

I have passed this restaurant countless times but was always too busy to walk in and dine there. I finally did it and I am happy with my choice!I had a dinner here on a Monday evening and there was no wait at all and half the tables were already occupied. Many people seemed to gather there for celebrations so that definitely shows that many love this place and come back repeatedly.The food came out very quickly and everything was delicious, the waiter was fast and attentive to us. The atmosphere was very nice and all the food was delicious! Prices were reasonable.I loved everything!
