After seeing so many Instagram posts about Sunright Tea Studio, I decided to finally try it out and I was happy knowing that there's a location in downtown SJ! I did not know that there was a location here until I checked Maps and thought that the next closest one to my location was in Sunnyvale and Milpitas. Just a heads up that because this location is in downtown, the parking is tough to find nearby. You most likely will have to walk a little bit to get to the shop! The place is really clean and bright. The ambiance of the store was bright and made me feel happy walking inside. There are two self-service Kiosks and if you need further assistance, a team member can help you out. There were so many drink options that I didn't know what to choose. You definitely get a lot more options here than most boba stores. There's your typical milk tea and fruit tea, and they also have slushies here too. I was overwhelmed by how many options there were, so I decided to order a strawberry matcha latte with honey boba. When waiting for my drink, I noticed that there wasn't a lot of seating available so I had to stand most of the time. I believe I waited about 10-15 minutes for my drink. I noticed that a team member ran out the door to tell a customer that they forgot 2 of their drinks, so I appreciate that the workers here care about the quality of service! Shoutout to whoever that was! The drink was perfect. It wasn't too sweet but wasn't diluted. You can definitely taste the strawberry and the matcha. I don't think it stood out though, since it's just matcha and you can get it anywhere. Overall, I think that Sunright Tea Studio is a decent boba shop with plenty of drinks to choose from. The only con about this location is the parking situation, but overall, the quality of the boba is fantastic. I would come back!

This has easily become one of my favorite tea houses in San Jose. The tea is delicious, the service is quick and friendly. They do not accept cash, so be aware of that before visiting. The only thing that could make it better is if they added snacks!

My partner and I were in the mood for boba after the temperatures went up dramatically after Daylight Savings and was surprised to see that Sunright expanded to the Rose Garden area and took over the location that used to be an Italian restaurant and gelato place. I was super happy to see that you can order online or at the kiosk and it helps because they have such an expansive menu! We put in the order and drove over, parked in the small lot behind the building, and our order was ready when we walked in. We were greeted when we entered and it was nice to see how Sunright transformed the place into a bright, airy place. We got the taro milk tea and panda milk tea; both low (25%) or no sugar, normal ice, and things tasted really good! Packaging was great (already in the bag, quite stable) and things tasted good. You can tell the boba was fresh because it was still warm on the bottom of the panda drink and it was a nice texture. The easy in-and-out process, good drinks, fair enough prices, and good location will definitely be a reason to come back!

I came here to grab myself a birthday boba and I deeply regret coming to this location. I only decided to go to the San Jose's location because it was closer. The Sunnyvale location is so much better. I provided pictures below. I ordered the Strawberry Jasmine Tea with boba and mochi. They are both the same drinks but for some reason the San Jose one is so much darker, lack the strawberry flavor, and bitter. The service was slow. There's a bunch of kids when I went and they were hogging the kiosks for like 20 minutes shoving and pushing one another to make a decision. An employee made eye contact with me and took my order, thank goodness! I will not be coming to the San Jose's location again! I'd recommend for you to go to the Sunnyvale location!

great boba, parking in the back, and the space really opens up once you're through the doors and are greeted pleasantly by the staff. to the left, the vast menu above the order screens. there's a huge selection of signature drinks, teas, and smoothies, lactose friendly options too, and each selection has multiple pages that you can peruse through with the arrows at the bottom, easy to miss. i got the blueberry frostie that had such a bold blueberry forward note paired with the creaminess of the cheese and smoothness of the jelly made this one of the most cohesive and well balanced smoothies i've had in a long time, everything really comes together with the crunchiness of the ice. this is a great drink. can't wait to try more! but please mop the floors, they were hella sticky!

This is a new branch of the well established sunright Tea Studio. Clean place, self service and great drinks. Nothing to complain!

One of my favorite boba shops! So happy it's close to me. Service is prompt and friendly. Drinks are delicious. Though I think this shop's tea taste is lighter than the one in Sunnyvale. Wish it was stronger.

Staff is rude and hardly acknowledge or look at you while you talk to them Ask them any question and it'll be answered with "I don't know" "Probably" "I'm not sure" Both Teas I ordered were overly sweet and not very tasty. Wouldn't recommend this boba spot over the hundreds more in San Jose.

Sunright is probably the most consistent boba shop around town! Their drinks are always really good and come out really fast!

Can't go wrong with sunright. I just hate the location with a small parking lot, but you can park on the street or across. Clean place and it's pretty big. I opted for the strawberry matcha and it wasn't too sweet.

A solid boba spot in the heart of midtown. Sunright has been a staple boba stop for me, and this new location is positioned in a nice spot, but definitely has its issues. Firstly, they open at 11am at the time of writing, which is definitely inconvenient for people going to the popular brunch spot across the street. Parking is also an issue here, with a very small back lot, or street parking. You CAN park in the free parking lot across the street by the Chase, however. Seating here is also limited, and the outlets have been taped over. With the Starbucks gone, I would love for this to be a new study spot, but I feel very dissuaded from working there for a long time. Bathrooms have also been out of order the last few times I've stopped by. Service is very prompt, but usually the place is pretty empty since it feels like more of a grab and go spot - online ordering and the 2 ordering kiosks definitely help with this. The drinks themselves are good, with one of my favorites being the newly added Chocolate Latte and their fruit teas. I've only had one drink I didn't particularly enjoy from this location, but it was a collab drink that was simply way too sweet, even at 25% sugar. (They may have now added this to the menu - the coconut slushy)

I love this spot so much! I was always hoping for a location nearby to open up since it's inconvenient to always go to the Sunnyvale location. The quality is still fantastic here, I love the signature milk tea and the Oreo creme brûlée the most. The drinks come in relatively quick, usually under 5 minutes. 5/5 for me.
