Came here for a dinner with a friend and food did not disappoint. We tried the half roast duck, garlic pork and fish fillet mustard soup. All options were good, the roast duck was our favorite. Yummy, casual and cozy dinner spot for authentic chinese food at a great price point. And staff were very nice.

We came to the area wanting to try out Dan Izakaya, but there was a long wait. We walked by this hidden gem and saw the food pictures looked delicious, so we decided to dine-in. There was not a lot of people sitting inside, but there were a lot of people getting take out. We ordered pork soup dumplings, Nanjing salted chicken, mixed fried rice and green onion pancake. It was a lot of carbs and filled us up since we were starving. The nanjing salted chicken was the highlight. There's maybe not a lot of places that do it this well. It is a lukewarm style dish and the flavor of the salt on the tender duck was delicious. The dough from the green onion pancake and XLB had a nice chewy texture, very homestyle-like. I would pass on the fried rice next time. This is a family run restaurant and very cozy vibe. It was inexpensive for the Bay Area and we just spent around $50 for the meal. Would definitely come back and try their other dishes. They have talented chefs and it is a good spot to go to or have take out, to enjoy something similar to a home-cooked meal.

An authentic Chinese NanJing cuisine restaurant offering simple food and friendly service. It's more like a mom and pop store, more like a hole in the corner type of restaurant. So don't expect anything fancy, just home made style of food. The MeiganChai Pork buns, Beef roll, chives pork dumplings (original favor), House beef soup noddle or rice noodle, Stir fried green beans (non-spicy), stir fry dried bean curd with pork, scallion beef, braised beef tenderloin with potatoes etc. are all good. The server may not speak perfect English and may be much matured than regular wait staff, but she is very friendly and very understanding. We also bought their frozen handmade dumplings every time we visit, mostly for week days when we are busy or working from home. Those make great meals as well.

The food is inedible. It's extremely oily and flavorless. We ordered six dishes and will probably throw everything out. Nearly 100 dollars down the drain for disgusting food. Not a single dish was edible.

This is one of my favourite places to order Chinese food. The price is reasonable and the portion is big for the price. The Mapo Tofu is delicious, mildly spicy but very savory. The staff are very friendly and polite. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.
