Decided to check this out with my hubby, hoping for a good experience. Unfortunately, it fell short. The salad bar was a bit underwhelming with limited options. Some of the meats were overcooked on the outside and undercooked inside, resulting in an unpleasant surprise and my husband got food poisoning. The steep price didn't match the disappointing quality. The cocktails didn't quite hit the mark. Servers were friendly and attentive.

It wasn't what I expected as far as my experience at other Brazilian steakhouses go. When you walk in your in the dining area- no place to wait or a bar to sit at so don't get there early. The salad bar was not restocked the entire time we were there. At least it didn't seem like it. Most the salads were 90% empty. The broccoli salad tasted a little funky. The meat was good but we didn't get to try everything they ran out of items before we got to try a few things. What we did have tasted good. For $700 I would not do again.

Went on a Friday night but early evening : and there was surprisingly only about 4 groups there. Was expecting it to be busier? It is downtown SJ and you do need to find parking but we did not have issues finding free parking. Service was good . They kept it coming. We went to buffet table. It had an ok selection . Meats we had : about 10 different varieties of steak, beef, chicken . Also had a pork sausage . Very similar to Fogo. But got an additional star for not being as crowded. Was able to enjoy the date!

Nothing but great things to say about my favorite restaurant. Always amazing food, service and ambiance. Great cuts of beef, lamb, chicken, and shrimp. The chicken hearts are fantastic. Salad bar is top notch.

I will not be returning to Taurinis after my experience last night. Service was terrible and could not get served any meats for quite some time. After finally getting anything the meat was burned on the outside any extremely rare on the inside. Almost as if they were backed up and were trying to speed up the cooking process. After asking to speak to the manager we noticed he was looking at us but did not want to come over. He never came over unfortunately and we did not press the issue. Our server was a sweet young girl who did great but unfortunately everything else was terrible and not what you should expect when paying $60 a person.

Horrific, nauseating experience at Taurinus. Had a sequence of 3 rounds of overdone meat so tough and cooked so long that it was gray in color, see bottom portion in my photos. Leathery, tough and foul, actually HARD to chew. And then, it's opposite, equally if not more disgusting, the bloody, sloppy, RAW mess seen in the top portion of my photo. Waited nearly 15 minutes for someone to check on us until finally the waitress tried to tell me this was not a problem and asked me if I wanted a new plate. Several minutes later the manager, dumbfounded, with glazed over eyes, refused to verbally acknowledge that this was unacceptable. I informed him i'm not paying for raw steak, but i'll pay for the 2 cocktails we ordered. I think anyone with common sense, decorum or decency would've comped out drinks given the putrid display you see here, but we did indeed pay. I would recommend skipping this disastrous establishment, absolutely lost my appetite, I would very literally prefer room temperature, stale mcdonald's fries than the rubbery shoe leather /bleeding and grotesque raw meat combo, that we were given at tAuRiNus. They have open reservations all night, every night for a reason. Extremely careless and dimwitted staff. Beggars belief that they remain in business, but I have a feeling they won't be this time next year.1 star because I any give zero.

I met up with some friends and their family at a restaurant. I had made a reservation for a child, and the seating assignment was excellent. We were able to chat, and the child could relax. The food was great overall, but some might find it too oily. The meat selection and salad bar were excellent. The restaurant had a perfect wall for taking pictures, which added to the ambiance and made it memorable. The only issue was parking due to the location. There was limited street parking, and the parking garage (City View Plaza) across the street cost about $15 for two and a half hours during our visit.

I love this place! I prefer to come at lunch because it's cheaper but it's still affordable in comparison to some of the other Brazilian steakhouses. The service is good and if you have to wait on a meat I appreciate they make it quick. The ambiance is relatively mixed as it's in downtown-- I feel like the decor is looking for its voice but that's ok--- I'm here for the food lol.

We celebrated my friend's birthday here and it was my first time experience. Of course I did my research ahead of time whether boyfriend had chose this place. Not much to think about. Hoping the value and quality of meet you get is up to par and meets my expectations. I've never even been to Fogo de Chao so there isn't a place I can compare it with. From my own experience that night, I wasn't too impressed. When we walked in, the place wasn't even packed first of all, secondly it's in spank of San Jose downtown but not the San Pedro Square area. You've got a full salad bar all you can eat. There are many kinds of meat you can choose from. They come to your table since you have this little gadget that tells them to keep it going. The sliced pineapple was savory. The cheese bread to snack on was great. But then they ran out of meat when we wanted more. Think it was the rib eye. How do you run out of meat already! Selection of drinks wasn't it there. We had to think of a place for our night cap. The place was not lit that night we went. Just a normal dining experience for me. Glad I tried it but I can't say I'll go back again.

Tucked away in downtown, Taurinus Brazilian Steakhouse was a great place to try. Parking might be limited to street parking, but the journey is well worth it. Taurinus Brazilian Steakhouse delivers big on flavor. Drawing similarities to Galpão Steakhouse, the concept of Taurinus revolves around the gaucho-style meat service, where servers circulate the dining area offering a variety of succulent meats. What sets Taurinus apart is the personalized touch; it is smaller so it was a bit easier to request specific meats we wanted. During my visit, I particularly enjoyed the pork wrapped in bacon. It was tender, flavorful, and simply irresistible. Each bite was a symphony of flavors that left a lasting impression. In addition to the main course, dessert was equally impressive. The portion size was generous, easily satisfying the sweet cravings of five people. The only reason I gave it 3 stars was due to the lighting. I know it's supposed to be that way for the ambiance but it was a bit hard for me to see. It took me a while for my eyes to adjust, but afterward, it was fine. If you are ever in the area and want something filling, it is a nice place to try!

Very disappointed with Taurinus! For the price you pay this Brazilian restaurant is not worth going to! Very limited on hot food & salad bar and meats were so so! Definitely will not go back or recommend it to friends & family.

- Served raw meat, got food poisoning. When I told the servers about it they responded "that's cooked" and then I heard the server telling other people to "only give me well done". That's not what I asked for, I just was letting them know they were serving. Cold slimy uncooked raw meat. - had reservations for 9pm took 45 minutes to get seated near the FRONT of the line. - Servers would skip over us as we were in the corner. If you're looking to spend money on bad service, and dangerous raw food, eat here.

So I really liked the food and the service. My only issue was the the really good meats were only ran out to our table once or twice becase Taurinus ran out of those kinds of meat. I go to a Brazilian place to eat lots of expensive beef and not to eat chicken. Sorry to all you chicken lovers that are out there. Like I said though, the food that was brought out was great. I will go back to this place.
