I have been enjoying the amazing food at Thai Love You for over 5 years since they opened up -- I'm proud to be a returning customer. My favorite dishes have been their Tom Kha coconut soup, the stir-fry basil-eggplant, the Satay, and the Pad Thai. I just learned there is a new owner starting soon, and I hope the community welcomes them with our Thai food loving tummies... I know several family owned restaurant owners in the area and can see not only how difficult it is to manage a restaurant but also how much additional stress we've all been under during the pandemic. In light of all the comments on Yelp about the customer service, all I have to say is I've always come to Thai Love You with a smile and patience and an understanding that a great restaurant will have a long line of customers. So I have no complaints, and actually have come to appreciate what Thai Love You's couple has done to bring amazing Thai food to this part of San Jose. I look forward to many more bowls of Tom Kha from the new owners!

If i could give this place zero stars I would. I placed an ordered online and it told me 7:06, and then immediately received a text stating 7:25. Normally this wouldn’t be an issue however it didn’t work for my family tonight. I called the restaurant and asked why the change and was rudely cut off and was told that I was piling my order on top of all the other orders that were coming in. I tried to politely explain that this didn’t work for my family tonight and he immediately asked if I wanted a refund and hung up on me. He didn’t take my name, nothing. I was in complete shock. I don’t care how good the food is, the owner or staff is so rude!! Don’t recommend this place strictly because anyone that rude doesn’t deserve to be in business.

Great food, but the owner needs a serious attitude adjustment. I just heard him take an order over the phone, hang-up, then go on a rant about how terrible this particular customer was, among many other negative comments who just gave him and his wife (the chef) business. I've frequented this place since it opened, always the same vibe from the owner. He could be described with many four letter words, but yelp wouldn't allow that type of free expression. The good news is, he sold TLY and is moving out of the area. Hope he finds peace and learns how to interact with people without putting others down. Like other reviews, he should stay in the back. To the new owners, good luck! Looking forward to meeting you and many successful years to you!

The food here is really good. My usual is spicy fried rice with veggies, tofu and cashews. I ordered the fried rice and spring rolls and the bill was $27 so yeah it is a bit pricey. I still keep going back to this place because it has really good food. The one thing that annoys me about this place is the guy at the counter. He is just looking for a chance to pass snide sarcastic comments. Could be a little more pleasant.

My husband ordered me pad Thai from this place and it was delicious and although it's $16, its well worth it. So, I tried to call for take out. When someone picked up, they told me the wait was going to be over an hour. I was surprised and I was unsure if they heard me correctly so I said "for take out?" in a surprise tone. I guess the person has had it for the night and with a rude attitude and tone of voice, they sighed and go "it's Friday night and we're slammed!" I'm sorry if it's been a hard day for this person and they're probably understaffed and overwhelmed. I'm pretty sensitive because preggo but I didn't need that attitude. I decided to take my business elsewhere tonight to elevate the busy for them. Overall, great Pad Thai. One of the best I've ever had. But because they serve good food, expect them to be busy with long waits and if they're overwhelmed, they might not be very friendly. Don't know if I'll be coming back but I think they're doing fine without me.

Two stars - only because their food IS really good! However, their customer service is dreadful. I have been multiple times, and each time I have been there has been an issue. One time (while eating in) they forgot to put our ticket in! We waited over an hour before they admitted the mistake an put our order in. Then they charged us the full price without an comp even though we were there for over two hours total due to their mistake! I have had other experiences where they NEVER pick up the phone, refuse to take orders, or simply just take way too long to make the food. Extremely disappointing since their food is so good.

Used to love this place but it's gone down hill. Panang curry was so oily and thick. Like I was eating a butter sauce. You can see the oily pooling at the bottom. My stomach hurt so much after

Very disappointing for numerous reasons:1. ***After spending almost $100 they have the nerve to charge you for plum sauce and soy sauce (only two tiny amounts are complimentary to feed 5 people2. Terribly greasy egg rolls3. They know how to charge you very high prices yet the quantity is significantly small4. Horrible customer service - specifically the rude male taking orders
Food was delicious, owner was nice and courteous, will be coming back here many more times! Thanks for the tasty dinner!

Wow! I am super impressed with the quality, flavor and portion size. We got the chicken pineapple fried rice, beef drunken noodles and chicken yellow curry. Everything was delicious. And it was ready before the estimated time which is always a happy surprise.

I'm all about supporting local businesses but I can't support horrible customer service and a very rude owner who hung up on me during a phone order bc my child was crying for 5 sec in the background. "Wanna call me back when your kids stops crying" CLICK! Their food is hit or miss, sometimes very flavorful and other days just bland. Honestly we ordered from them bc it was convenient and we wanted to support small businesses in Almaden but our family will never be ordering here again.

The food is authentic and delicious. The staff is wonderful. They lost a star because 1. they’re closed Sunday/Monday and 2. wait times would be impossible if everyone knew how amazing this place is.The pad Thai is perfect and so are their curries. The spring roll is not to my taste.
