Thanh Lan has the best grilled pork Vietnamese sandwich in San Jose! The meat is unbelievably tasty, the french bread is crispy on the outside but soft on the inside, and the toppings are delicious. I always ask for extra because they make the sandwich extra yummy.

Needed a restroom for a young child, was told only with a purchase. Grabbed 3 waters and 2 ice teas and then told cash only. Only had credit card. Still couldn't use the restroom. Unbelievable.

I have not tried their sandwiches, but they have really good shredded chicken. Usually I buy 1 lb of shredded chicken because their chicken is moist and not too dry. I goes really well with rice or bread. I cost 22 dollars for 1 lb which is a great deal.

Writing this because I feel bad about exclaiming, "That's expensive" after being charged $14 each for two dishes I don't normally order: chow fun and chow mein. I was used to my usual $4 chicken sandwich, and I ordered these noddle dishes to-go. What I found out when I got home is that these two dishes were extremely well-made, tasty and fresh. Knowing that these were not their most popular dishes, I didn't know what to expect. I waited about 20 minutes for them to be prepared. When I saw what the owner made--noodles adorned with lots of cabbage, with beef, chicken, squid, dried garlic and more--I literally felt like this was home-cooked, family-made food. The owner clearly put a lot of work into making these for me (and my family), and I immediately cringed for making the comment about the price. TL;DR: do try their chow mein and chow fun. You'll be pleased at the quality and flavor. And e levy to pay for it!

Great sandwich. We're driving the extra 20 minutes past my destination. They often say that the bread makes the difference and this one is fresh and extra crispy. I would come back and I would recommend it. Thank you

An excellent place to get banh mi ga cha bong (shredded chicken sandwich).

I've religiously gone here at least every other week just to get the Banh Mi Ga. The couple who runs this little joint are super cute and extremely nice every single time. Love it
