This place sells authentic Vietnamese food to go and the food was super authentic and good. I’m Vietnamese and I verified this place has the most affordable and delicious banh mi in San Jose. We went at the end of the day and those sweet aunties gave us multiple discounts on left over food that they had on the table. I had banh mi thit nuong, sweet tofu was good and cheap, I also got banh gio. The sweet tofu normally gets sour after you left it overnight, but I left it in the fridge for 3 days and still delicious. Banh gio meat was well seasoned, I expected there was quail eggs but no eggs. Thit nuong was well seasoned with childhood taste, it would be salty if you eat it by itself but it was perfect when combining with vegies and banh mi. The amount of meat and vegies was a lot for the price. The aunties working there might not speak English pretty well but I confirmed the food was legit.

Small deli style store with a lot packed into it. We ordered the banh cuon, very tasty and a good amount of filling and noodles. My main complaint is that they don't serve any pickled vegetables or bean sprouts like other places do. But due to the amount I ordered, the lady very kindly gave me a small box of plain noodles, no charge. I would definitely recommend this place again to try the desserts.

The quality of their food DEFINITELY has gone DOWN, but the prices are going UP! Their peanut sauce for the spring roll taste like salt water, no flavor whatsoever, I had to add hoisin sauce to made it taste right. Even their signature tofu pudding dessert does not taste the same like it used to be. Everything tasted so watered down. Even the cashier was trying to sell me some snacks that didn’t sell well, because it was looking like a glob of brightly glowing red mess which she told me it was shrimp. I’ll passed, that’s a good way to say so long to your loyal customer. I spent $49 for something that I felt like it was a waste of my money. Even the cashier rang me up 2X to double checked it’s correct because she even thought she was over charged me!

I usually come here for tofu. They have the best tofu in town.

The Vietnamese desserts here are good. My usuals order is the chè đậu xanh, chè đậu trắng, chè trôi nước and sương sâm. We also got coconut jelly in the actual coconut shell. And banana fritters. The banana fritter was soft and oily in the bag. It was very chewy and not crispy.

Some food with milk products should have been refrigerated.

2.3 starsI have to give them credit for variety of Vietnamese dishes, but the quality and taste just isn't quite there. What they do do well at are the desserts and fresh tofu. Most other items like the banh beo and banh bao are overpriced and pretty bad. In an area with an endless supply of Vietnamese food, this is pretty disappointing.Service is curt. Parking available on parking lot.

If you like to gamble, you'll love this place because it's a gamble every time you get to the register since there are no prices displayed for anything. It's also cash only. They do have a very good selection of deli products however, and everything's pretty tasty and fresh.

Plenty of options for Chè, not to mention a bunch of other Vietnamese snacks like bánh cuốn, bánh ướt.
