Yes, this place is still open and they are open to public. I don't work for VTA but I live close by and I drive over to this little cafe sometimes for lunch. I forgot to take a picture of the Salmon daily special I got today but it was very good for the price. The cafe is kind of hidden but just follow the sign that says, "VISITOR PARKING" and once you park there, you can easily spot the corner cafe near the outdoor seating area.

DELICIOUSLY DONE! Everything here in this cafeteria was really mouthwatering, and they also have fresh-squeezed orange juice that I needed. I can't say enough about the food items and anything else from this cafeteria because everything here was really tasty and affordable. I will definitely come back here again for more! Strongly recommended!

My boyfriend brought me to this cafeteria last year. The foods and drinks were yummy and tasty. Besides, the waitress that served our order was patient and greeted us with a smile. Honestly, we greatly love this cafeteria, for it was perfect for our date. We will come back from time to time here. Thank you!

Local corporate cafe for VTA, also open to the public. They have a daily special, Tuesday orange chicken is a hit! The breakfast is very affordable and service is prompt, you may also call and order ahead. Salad bar is alway fully stocked with romaine and mixed greens.

This place is great! Breakfast food is good, they make it from scratch right in front of you and it's delicious!

I'm on my 3rd job in 8 months, and I always need to find a good sandwich/lunch place nearby. This is it for the new place! Not easy to find, and I only even found it on Yelp, because I was searching for lunch places near an analytical lab we use. Yaay! I had the egg salad today, and it was pretty good. The prices are good, the service is quick, and they have a pretty good variety of food too. :-)

Wanna a good lunch in less than $10 in the heart of the Silicon Valley? This is the place. The owner and his crew are very friendly. Most of their offerings are priced very reasonably. The dining area is spacious and usually not crowded. Give it a shot if you happen to be in the area. The cafe is located inside the VTA headquarters, next to the visitors' parking area.

I was attending a pedestrian safety design training at VTA headquarters and had brought along a sad little sandwich for lunch. However, on my way in I noticed this little spot hidden away in the back of the VTA campus and it was Friday so what the heck! I threw all caution to the wind and went big with a cheeseburger AND FRIES. I know, I know. I was really living life that day. Burger tasted exactly like one you'd get at a backyard barbecue and the fries were hot and skinny, just how I like them! Definitely recommend if you ever find yourself at VTA.

I've been looking for a reasonably priced lunch spot since Kerrie's Kafe closed. River Oaks Cafe has earned it's place as my new go-to lunch spot. You can get an amazing lunch for less than $10. I ordered the Hot Pot Bi Bim Bop special (pictured). It had a good amount of veggies, nice chunks of meat, and an egg! And all that food was just $8.14 with tax. It was tasty and satisfying. The other nice thing is that there is ample parking and seating. The restaurant is tricky to find. You navigate to the VTA headquarters, turn right, then make the first left into the visitor parking lot (there are a whole bunch of 3 hour parking signs). From the parking lot, you'll see a path that leads to a little bridge on the west side of the lot. Follow it, you'll see a VTA entrance for Building C, and then you turn left, and you'll find a door for the ROC. There is another entrance, but I think this is the easiest way to find this hidden gem. After you know where it is, you'll be back for the yummy food, friendly service, and reasonable prices.

This is an absolute rare find in the Bay Area. Affordable breakfast and lunch options (under $10 as of October 2018) and nothing to complain about the quality of the meals. Minimalist no-frills cafe for grabbing a quick bite.

Vending machines available after cafeteria is closed, great option in a pinch!
