If you are unfamiliar with TonyDiMaggio’s, then you are obviously new around here, because Tony’s is well known.I’ve a concept, a rule-of-thumb, if you will, when it comes to dining: “wherever the cops go to eat is where the food and service are consistently good.” I think you’ll find that this is reasonably true.[Note5: f you ever offer an alibi, such as “I was at Tony Di’Maggio’s da night of da incident,” then the cops will know you’re lying because they eat here all the time: “(Laughter)…What are you, a clown? Real funny, wise guy. We, the cops, were at Tony’s that night having the best stromboli. You, however, might have been at some clown convention…]Years and years ago, Tony himself (may he rest in peace) waited our table. I asked for my Stromboli with “sauce on the side and hold the mustard,” to which Tony replied,“Yours is to go. Your friends - they can stay. But, you, you’re going with your Stromboli, mister ‘hold the mustard,’” (“you little prick, you,” he must have thought).(My friends looked at me as if I was full of insults.) [My mistake, Tony. After all, what do I know about Stromboli except where to get the best?]

The best Italian spot in the bayarea by far. Very authentic. The main chef is a beatiful grandma that has been working there for over 30 years. The strombolis are next level. The service is amazing. Strongly recommend this place to anyone craving good pizza, lasagna, pasta etc...

I think the last time I was at this restaurant was about 5 years ago maybe 6 years ago and it was fabulous maybe cuz I ate my order we ate our order in the restaurant.. so I decided because it's right by my house to go ahead and order again I got the garlic bread spaghetti with two sausages and extra sauce. Pictures below I can honestly say I probably won't go back again the food was hot I do love their sauce and of course you can't go wrong with pasta unless you overcook it. But the sausages were extremely Bland and I really don't think they were worth $5.50 a piece. The garlic bread was semi toasted but there was no garlic flavor. So I probably honestly will not go back again. But in a pinch and cuz I was hungry for it it was okay.

Why didn't I find this place sooner! I gave up on finding a good pizza in Nor Cal years ago as being from the East Coast can't find anything that can stack up to the best. Between the teenagers and myself we didn't leave a crumb. The crust, the sauce, the texture makes this my only pizza place going forward. One word of CAUTION, they put mustard in the Stromboli . That didn't fare well with any of us. It's such a shame you can't customize your order as the sections without mustard were indescribably perfect. Plenty of tables seating 4-6 comfortably inside

Came here with my nephew after a show, did not really know what to order, but they were nice. It is family own business. We ordered rigatoni and pizza (pineapple, mushroom and chicken). I know, pineapple on pizza, but my nephew likes it. The pizza was good. The cheese pull was awesome! The dough and everything was perfect except towards the center it was kind too thin that everything falls apart. Not soggy taste though. The bread that came with rigatoni was good. The bread was crunchy outside and soft inside. It does not kill your teeth. Got parking and a lot of tables inside to enjoy the food while it fresh out the oven.

Hands down best Stromboli out there! Love this family and what they have created. I've been going here for years and the quality has never changed. The Stromboli is second to none. Also the pizza is exquisite. Great job

Great little Italian restaurant located in South San Jose off of Monterrey Road. Best known for their Stromboli, this place serves traditional New York style Italian cuisine. I had the 8 inch meatball sandwich with cheese. The meatballs were light and flavorful and there was plenty of cheese and marinara sauce placed on top. My mom had the Rigatoni with meat sauce complimented with a side of garlic bread. Pasta was cooked to perfection. I will definitely be coming here in the future, and will be sure to try the Stromboli.

Stromboli and Connolli are the best here. However we got the pasta and eggplants, and they were pretty lacking. Especially the spaghetti
