A little more on the pricy side but if you want a premium hot dog this is the spot. Also has more then just hot dogs which is nice.

Great hot dogs. Not too salty compared to Umai which used to be in the same location.

No longer an Umai. Just a generic place now. Unbelievably disappointed with the switch.**edit** plagiarized the Umai menu and took just enough they want to cater to the previous audience but took away all the options that made it unique like adding bulgogi on fries. The house fries with the delicious sauce and furikake. And if you see the response below it’s clear the owner doesn’t have business sense on how to win back customers. Like you could have tried being like I’m sorry it’s not the same but I can promise you the quality of our ingredients will win you back. Or something less sounding like a college bro that just started a business.

The vegetarian hotdogs and fries were very tasty. The Kyoto Fire was our favorite. While we have only been once, some of our friends recommended the same highly from years of visits. This review has been updated from its original to reflect that the manager resolved a disagreement we had with the clerk. Credit to the clerk, while he was perhaps confused, he was apparently trying to do what he thought was his job in the face of pressure.

It’s Christmas. I ordered pickup for one hotdog from them and they are open on DoorDash/uber eats. I understand people should get a break for the holidays. But at least update on the apps that you are closed. Waste of my time and many others since I talked briefly to a DoorDash driver next to meEdit: I place my order roughly 11:30am Christmas Day per my DoorDash email receipt. It is not doordashs error. It is your error UMAI considering many other local restaurants were closed on DoorDash Christmas Day that dayIs it really that hard to say sorry? Instead you shift blame to another company that many other restaurants had no issues with yesterday? You forgot to properly close your DoorDash account yesterday. That’s the reality

This is a franchise where we've eaten at times before. We visited this location recently and we're quite disappointed. The ordering was via kiosk (great) and we were told we'd be notified by SMS once our food was ready. Both hot dogs were cold when we got them. They looked and tasted ok but we're definitely cold. As for their location, this plaza is not the nicest place. The people there drive like maniacs in and out of the parking lot, making it dangerous for pedestrians. That being said, their seasoned fries are to DIE FOR! I would order them time and time again.

Heavenly food! The Kyoto Burger and the Bulgogi dog are absolutely to die for. Very high quality meat and soft buns dusted with corn powder. Their cooking techniques are sublime. The cheese stick is also better than any I’ve ever had and comes with a pretty nice mustard sauce. I love to get a side of kimchi to cleanse my palette after all the delicious meat and who doesn’t love that? Love this place — we have started going here about once a week.

Placed an online order and went to pick up shortly after the store opened. I ordered: Garlic Parmesan Noodle, Honolulu Bang Bang, and Brat Purdy.Brat Purdy (3/5): I was sure I would love this, given that I LOVE barbecue sauce and caramelized onions, but this fell short of my expectations. The flavors were quite bland, particularly the pulled pork. Bratwurst had a good snap to it though.Honolulu Bang Bang (4/5): This one was good! Flavorful mix of the pineapple, red onion, and teriyaki-hoisin sauce with crispy bacon on top of a beef hot dog, I didn't think I would like it this much. The Hawaiian roll was a nice touch as well. A little on the sweeter side but I didn't mind it too much.Garlic Parmesan Noodle (3.5/5): Pretty good, could be more garlicky. Noodles were a little mushy but that's probably more on me for taking it to-go. There's an odd acidity to its taste, but I can't stop eating it.Overall pretty solid, will come back to try other hotdogs next time.

Second time ordering the truffle dog. So gooood! The bun is on the chewier side, not the typical soft bun, a little unique. The sauce and mushroom is full of umami flavors. Definitely the tastiest hot dog I've ever had. Service at this location is good too. I had a reward to use. Tried to use it at the Valley fair location but they wouldn't let me do it, even though it was said that it can be redeemed at any of their location. But the employee at this location made an effort to figure out how to use it and made the food for me. Will definitely keep coming back to try more of other choices!
