I have been coming into Docent in San Juan Capistrano for a few years now. The beer is the best around by a long shot. The food is always outstanding and something that my wife and I crave. The reason for my review though is your manager Casey. He seems to always be there ready to help with a smile and fun conversation. He has a great work ethic and does a fantastic job of making everyone at the bar or at the register feel like he is genuinely grateful that they are there to support the business. I've talked to quite a few other people that he's talked to about him and they have all said that he is one of the main reasons that they come here. I've noticed that one of the big words on your back wall is "Community" and he is very in touch and a big part of this community and yours. Him and his staff do a fantastic job. You have a gem in Casey and can't wait to come in again to enjoy the food, beer and great conversation.

Food was the bomb! SO said it was a 10/10 for the tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwich. I had the hero and it was delicious other than the Swiss cheese. I'm not a fan of Swiss and there is just with or without it, no substituting with one of the cheeses they put on their grilled cheese even. They must pre-make their sandwiches and then just press them when they're ordered. You must wait in line to order food and beverage at the bar and then also go pick the food up at the kitchen yourself. Don't ask me to tip if I'm the one coming to you for the food and then drink and you done have to even leave you 3'x3' space. Seating downstairs and outside is available but the couches and chairs are more than worn. Kids running around downstairs definitely killed a lot of the ambiance here for me. There is OVER 21 seating in a loft upstairs but it is less accommodating for just a couple unless you want to sit on short metal bar stools at a counter facing various views-like the stairway. Huge conference sized table upstairs but there was a larger group there so we just grabbed to large leather chairs to try and eat at. I had their Red and it was delicious! Full bodied and smooth from start to finish. My SO loved the MACRO DOCE IPA so much she even bought a crowler to take home. She had never done this before in the dozen or so breweries I have taken her to. Wineries - yes, but buying beer to take home, this was a first.

A group of us went there for a weekend gathering.. The beer and food were very enjoyable. The service at the bar was very good and helped me make my choice of beer(s). We did bring our dog and sat outside in the nice patio area. This is a big place and would work for a group or friend functions and events.

Very high quality (and award winning) craft beer produced fresh in house. Menu is pretty simple, but I have never tried anything I did not like. Grilled cheese and tomato soup is awesome.

This brewery is a hidden gem. Very cool spot to grab some beer and food. This is the main Brewhouse for this company. They also have another satellite tasting room/brewpub. The atmosphere for this place is excellent, especially for being in a business park. They have a huge selection of beer on tap. Really a style of beer for everyone. There is plenty of comfortable seating to choose from. The staff was really helpful with choosing beer fro. Their massive list.If you enjoy the brewery feel, this place is definitely for you. Bring a jacket if it's cold. There is upstairs seating, lounge seating, bar top seating, and outdoor seating. On the back side of the building parking can be tight and sparse. However there is plenty of parking on the front side of the building and on the street just a short walk away. There is really only this brewery in this industrial complex, so it's a good things that they have a good size menu of food to choose from.It seems very family friendly, big picnic benches to accommodate large parties of people. They also do quarter poor, so if you are a tasting enthusiast, you can try all. Of their beers without spending a fortune. Restrooms for customers, spacious facility. Very well maintained place.

Best atmosphere for a one on one date, family outing, friends, or solo. Comfy atmosphere. THE BEST FOOD (cobb Salad, Ruben sandwich, carnitas, quesadilla, pork belly bowl are the best) KOMBUCHA, and the LUNA BEER ?? Been coming here for YEARS. The best little spot for a great memory.
