Best ramen in East Bay! I ironically found this place when feeling sorry for myself that I moved away from Oakland where my old favorite ramen place is. I did a quick search to see what was in San Leandro and saw there was a new ramen place, and I’m so glad I tried it out, as it is my new favorite! The quality, quantity, and freshness of the food you will not find at this price anywhere else, as the owner does everything himself, so he can put his money into quality ingredients instead of hired help. This is some serious, no nonsense ramen. (The owner has that demeanor as well!) I come here by myself as part of my self care routine so I can really focus on the food and eat each delicious bite mindfully. It reminds me of the ramen I ate in Tokyo when I visited. This isn’t a place you will get fancy ambiance, but if you just want good food, it’s definitely worth checking out and making a staple for when you get those ramen cravings! Very thankful to have authentic ramen in San Leandro.Kid-friendliness: They have high chairs and it’s a relaxed atmosphere so okay for kids to be there. I brought my toddler and she was able to play on the sidewalk when we are outside.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a wheelchair accessible table

No frills, just really good food. One man show. Hope it survives because the popcorn chicken and ramen are the best in the area. Sesame chicken is good too.

Great little Ramen shop with authentic feel. Rivals some of the best ramen we had during our recent travels to Japan.Portions were huge and all full of flavor and variety of fresh vegetables. We also added the well reviewed garlic popcorn chicken which my son said was someOf the best he’s ever had. Fries were great, perfect fry and flavor dusted with Old Bay type salt! Thanks so much, great service and wonderful quality!Vegetarian options: Great veggie ramen. Loaded with fresh veggies!

The place is a little small than expected but that isn’t an issue. Took my wife and baby here for lunch and ordered 2 Ramen and they were delicious. The foods are reasonably priced, too. Love that it’s so close to our home.

No frills teriyaki and ramen joint:- Order at the kisosk- Charge at the kiosk or pay cash to the owner directly - Owner / Cook brings you the ordered food, no other waitstaff- Minimal number of tables- No water, you'll have to buy bottled water or drinks- No Restroom, so you better not have any gluten, egg, miso allergies or have a strong bladder- Do you tip a one man shop?- Nice chew to the ramens- Full soft boiled egg compared to half in some restaurants- Chasu is house made and not bought from some deli, 4 nice large slices per ramen bowl- Spicy ramen was spicy, Black Garlic was tasty- Had better Popcorn Chicken at Quickly- Weird parking set-up, all 15 min spots in front which is set up for a take out business, if eating in - you'll park further away at the end of the lot- We we're the only two diners and saw the Owner when ordering, when food was brought out and a check of us during dinner, he stayed in the kitchen the whole timeOverall: Tasty for take-out although I'm not sure if this restaurant packs the ramen and fixings separate from the soup/broth. No one wants soggy ramen - so better be separate. Go elsewhere for Popcorn Chicken.
