Great Indian takeout in San Leandro / Oakland boarder. Warning: butter chicken is addictive! Signs of withdrawal: watery mouth, lack of interest in other food and dream about an orange creamy stew over basmati rice.Tip: spicy option is HOOOT. Settle for medium

I stopped here for lunch because I remember having a wonderful buffet lunch just before COVID and have been meaning to come back. Alas the buffet is no more. I ordered garlic naan, butter chicken, rice and two cans of diet coke and the bill came out to $33. They charged $4.99 for a bowl of what seemed to be instant tasteless rice! Total bill was upwards of $40 for one person with tax and tip. Food was bland, butter chicken portion was small and just ok. Chicken was tender and juicy. There are many better options in the area including Favorite in Hayward and Flavor of North and South along Hesperian in San Lorenzo.

By far the best Indian food in San Leandro and better than a lot of Oakland’s. Dishes are well spiced, complex without being overwhelming and just the right sauce level to be good with rice or nan. Service is excellent.Vegetarian of the menu is vegetarian

No wait at 6 on a Monday night, though more customers steadily trickled in after us. Service was quick and attentive. We shared an order of vegetable samosas, chicken tikka masala, jalapeno garlic naan, and rice.We were expecting decent standard fare, but were surprised by how well done the dishes were. The tikka masala ended up being incredibly flavorful and delicious. By not being overly cream-based like at many other places, the spices and tender chicken really shined through. The jalapeno garlic naan was soft, and the samosas tasted just right. They also gave free raita along with the standard mint and tamarind chutneys. All in all, we were pleasantly surprised and will definitely be back the next time we're in San Leandro.

My daughter was flying in and had never had Indian food. So I searched for one near the airport. The food was absolutely amazing! We had the butter chicken with garlic and plain Naan. We also ordered the crispy potato cakes and had gulab jamun for dessert. Our server was Vir and he was attentive and kind. Amazing service, amazing food, and prices are reasonable. We absolutely loved this place!

They cook with canola oil.Good food, bit pricey. $60 for two items, rice & naan (total with tax & tip). They gave us 3 sauces, maybe it came with the naan, sooooo yum to add to the dishes & rice. Very casual place, good for kids. Parking tip!The lot next to the restaurant is free for customers, there is a QR code on their counter inside. We did not know about this & had "tickets" on our cars when we came out, but they guy at the restaurant kindly fixed it for us.
