This is the first time I visited since the change of ownership. The light was bright and comfortable. The food tasted pretty good with the reasonable price. I shall come back to try their dimsum next

New ownerships allow strangers cut in line without using tickets reservations. Waited 40 mins for nothing.

Poor service. The waitress wasn't of much help when ordering . The place wasn't inviting . The fact that they all spoke their native language amongst them and other clients , which I don't understand, made the dining experience uncomfortable. The food wasn't great. I would dine here again if I can have someone with me who speaks the language so the experience can be enjoyable.

Food is good (except shrimp dumplings 蝦餃 which is just so so), service is great, and priced fairly.3 issues: (1) They may not have enough staff to handle good business. (Under new ownership, give it some time)(2) Parking is not easy if you come at noon.(3) It's a bit noisy because the tables are close to each other.I live nearby so I know parking is always a problem, just come earlier and try the good dim sum.

Good dim sum variety. Reasonable prices. Once order is taken (this can be spotty) food arrives quickly and hot. Getting the check can be a challenge and payment

When I went it was lively. Servers were at the end of their shifts so they engaged in friendly banter. There were a lot of older Asian people at the time, which means it was worth the dollar. And very family friendly. I used to go with my 20+ cousins, uncles, and aunts all the time.

Loved the fried rice. Their fried pot stickers are big and flavorful. And the puff pastries are amazing!

Good portions, options and price but food is 3/5. Chinese dishes better than the dim sum imo

They have a 3 item menu for $35. Decent for location and price. Can order: Beef stew with lettuce and mushrooms, priced for the neighborhood, good flavor, ok amount of meat. Jing du style ("sweet and sour") pork chop deep fried, pretty good, need to eat it immediately. Dim sum Order: chicken feet Don't order: Walnut shrimp, a bit too sweet and sour, shrimp could be larger. Salt pepper pork, ok but not enough taste.

I got foods take out from this place several times already since I found it one month’s ago. The roasted goose, streamed chicken, bbq pork is one the the best in the area. The beef stew rice noodle rolls is excellent both in value and taste!it became My favorite restaurant in the area!

Reasonable prices , tasty dim sun. Wide variety of dim sum and other rice and noodle items. Roast pork and duck available too. Service a bit slow.

PREDATORY AND SCAM This restaurant automatically billed you a mandatory 15% tips even if you dined alone or less than a party of 6. When i asked why I was automatically charged 15% tips. The lady said it's a new california law. I asked since when? She said if you dont like, dont come back. What the f****** f**** You have the KING KONG BALLS size ego!!! Sweet jesus and buddha on an ebike!!! You people are corrupt. Will follow up with california and alameda 2022 rules and regulations on my behalf and you. Shameless greedy establishment!!!

Situated on a working class section of east 14th street in San Leandro , King Kong dim sum offers moderately low priced dim sum as well as other standard Cantonese fare in a distinctly working class setting. It's hardly a destination restaurant but it fits the bill if you're looking for authentic Chinese food that doesn't break the wallet.Dim sum is well, good. Items were made to order and items came out piping hot. For better or worse, dim sum looked to be made in-house and not from some outside dim sum factory like some other establishments. Portion size is large and it should be given the customer base. I suppose you could say their dim sum is slightly more "rough inside the edges"The beef chow fun we ordered was decent. Plenty of overly tenderized beef and bok chow and hoh fun with some "wok hay". 8/10 for quantity and 6/10 for quality. They are not shy about using MSG.King Kong also sells roast duck and Chinese roast pork belly. I hear the roast duck is well priced, meaty and actually quite good. We didn't order it though.Service is efficient and the waitresses are fairly polite. The balding guy in his late 40s that sits in the corner oversees and runs the place.Parking might be a challenge on the weekends. There is a small parking lot at the end next to the Salvadoran restaurant. If you happen to be in the area and are looking for a solid Chinese restaurant, give King Kong a try. Go in with moderate expectations and they will be met
