Service is ok The space is too small. The tables in the middle are too close to each other. I was almost rubbing elbows with the guy at the next table as they had a bigger party. I felt bad for him as he had to sit sideways and weird to not block people who kept passing by him to get more food. Lumpia Shanghai lacked flavor. Not even the sauce helped :( Kare kare was yummy with the shrimp paste (I think this was my favorite) Pork sisig is our second favorite dish from pistahan Adobo is good, not too salty. Lechon belly skin was crunchy but needed more seasoning Menudo wasn't bad The tempura shrimp reminded me of box tempura from Costco Noodles was ok For pork bbq I prefer Nayong or even the Sunday ihaw ihaw outside island Pacific. Not sure what the purple dessert is called but the first time we tried it was pretty good. The second time it was too watered down. Had lots of banana though :) Overall I'd recommend this place for the buffet if you can eat a lot. Wasn't worth it for us as we didn't eat that much. Probably sticking to a la carte and at least have some leftover to go.

Ordered the crispy pata. It was very soggy. But there was alot of meat. I just fried it again. And the biko dessert was hard!

I use to come here a lot back in 2022. I hope they add more menu for their buffet because at Newark Buffet would be better to eat at for more menu than less menu at a Filipino buffet. There leche plan is good.

This is a late review but I felt that it had to be written. I ordered the boneless bangus with rice, picked it up and ate it at home. Right after eating it, my stomach started feeling queasy and I felt sick. Then I started throwing up. I basically emptied out my entire dinner. The next day, I called to let them know and I spoke to a young girl. She had no sympathy whatsoever, and pretty much made it sound like I was making it up. She said no one else has complained, so I guess it was just me. I don't know why I got sick, but I GOT SICK. She offered to replace the food but, at that point, I was afraid that my stomach wouldn't be able to handle it. So I just asked for a refund. I never got it. I haven't gone back since. Too bad, it's only 5 minutes away from my house. What a disappointment!

$21.99 for WEEKDAY buffet guys. My little one (5) and I wanted to eat here for lunch but man it's expensive now unlike it was before. We backed out and we went to GEN Kbbq instead only $19.99 for weekday lunch food is much better too

We had a day trip in Oakland and was looking for a Filipino restaurant prior to our departure back to LA. I stumbled across Pistahan and from the yelp reviews I needed to check it out for myself. To my surprise amongst the many Al a carte menu they had a Filipino buffet the day we went. For around $20+. They had a variety of dishes ranging from all type of different proteins (beef, chicken, fish and pork) with all of those staple dishes from Kare-kare, Dinuguan, menudo, pancit, adobo, kaldereta, lumpia , sweet and sour fish and for dessert they had Ginataang bilo bilo and champorado a chocolate rice porridge. Each of the dishes we had were flavorful and tastes homemade. Hands down one of the best Filipino buffets I've been to! The place is clean, with ample seating, located in a strip mall. there is something for everyone. So if you're looking for some Filipino comfort food. Be sure to check this restaurant out.

Family owned ma and pa spot. Loved the sisig and the kare kare we ordered. Don't skip out on their desserts in the case!

Came here because of their lunch Buffett. I believe it's from 11am-3pm. It was a reasonable price $23. There are plenty of tables and chair. Looks nice and clean. Workers are very friendly. We loved the beef kare kare and the misaw soup. They also had a dessert. We will be back! You can also order ala carte items.

Came here on a Tuesday late afternoon, caught the tail end of the buffet (2:15pm). Overall experience was great and hospitable. There wasn't any garlic rice or pancit left but the staff was very accommodating and made a fresh batch. Overall, the quality of the food was good, selection was wide, placed was clean. Definitely would recommend this place. $21.99 for lunch buffet (11am - 3pm)

Cancelled on my family for a baptism reception a day before the reservation. Terrible. This happened on January 7, 2024.

Wow! I wish we had something like this in tri-valley! Good selection of Filipino food! I absolutely loved the sinigang, menudo, the ground meat (I forgot what it was called), lumpia, and ube bilo bilo! Too bad I can't really eat much that makes any buffet worth it for me. They also kept refilling the trays and soup which was awesome! Only minus one star because my husband really wanted sisig but it wasn't available for the buffet. And both noodle dishes were a miss for me. Not that flavorful. It's a little hard getting out of this area to get back on the freeway, but maybe because we're not from the area. Would definitely come back! I want more of that sinigang!!! It's been two weeks and I'm still thinking about it!
