I was craving uncle wongs sweet n sour pork with fried rice plate. And I kept calling but it kept hanging up the call. I drove there and it's closed emptied out and everything. Super sad. My fav Chinese spot in San Leandro.

I'm writing a follow up review after finding out Uncle Wongs closed down! I couldn't believe this could be true that I had to go see for myself. Here today, gone tomorrow... I was shocked and sad to know the truth. This place was really one of the best Chinese food restaurants and now I don't know where to go for my honey walnut shrimp cravings! I've been going here for years- my initial review was made in 2015! If you are the owner reading this. Please reopen!

We've been customers for many years. My wife tried to call to order out yesterday. She tried several times. The phone seemed to ring once before the line went dead. She tried several times before deciding to just drive by and order in person. She found Uncle Wong's closed down. It appeared that they were closed for good. I wonder what happened? This seems so sudden.

If I could leave a zero I would. Waited 20 minutes at the window to pick up an order while the one person wrapped orders, answered calls and waited on the window. Got to work and Order is wrong and can’t eat it. Spent 15 minutes on phone trying ti get it fixed with restaurant. No English. Called someone else that does speak English and he gave me no help other than to call another company. So out my money, out dinner unless I want to waste more time trying to fix it. Really poor customer service

The food was delicious, overall. Little pricey but the portion was big too. Will be ordering more in future :)

I love Uncle Wongs! I've been coming here for years and always enjoy the food. I usually get wonton soup, green bean chicken with black bean sauce and Singapore noodles. The beef chow fun is good too! Right now they only offer take out, but I hope they open dine in soon. Orders usually take about 15 min and they're always friendly. There's always parking in the lot, and lots of other stores nearby in case you need some time to kill before picking up your order.

Very good Cantonese food that is not fancy. Consistently good quality and fast service. Just takeout now.

I opened my ice box this morning and I found Chinese foods. Leftovers from my kid's doo. A combination fried rice and string beans in black bean sauce. The fried rice was exceptional. Not overly doused with shoyu. Perfect with the string beans over the top. I took a look at the pictures posted on Yelp. I must try to order carryout myself!

I have Been going here for the last 7years and they never ever disappoint me. I come all the way from Walnut Creek area just to have Chinese food at times because it's hard to find really good affordable Chinese food that taste authentic and delicious.

Tofu was good service was poor. The lady tried her hardest not to touch me while I’m handing her money. She did not say thank you, come again, or even have a nice day. Places that don’t appreciate my money don’t get me as a customer anymore. If the restaurant responds to this post with an apology I will give them another chance. Other than that I’ll stick to Lee Chinese Garden. At least they appreciate me.
