Not a real coffee shop. Not trained baristas.

Got an iced matcha latte and wow! Disappointed!!! Not even mixed. Just almond milk with matcha powder at the bottom. Never again

Absolutely impressive. I adore this place, providing the perfect atmosphere for drinking coffee at any time in the day. At entering, I'm greeted with a smile and surrounded by comfortable furniture, and beautiful artwork. The people are very kind, attentive and work hard to create a welcoming environment and excellent coffee, 5 stars!

Would be 5 star if the help was friendlier and smiled. They dont seem very happy..

I stooped in here for lunch while traveling thorough the PCH. I grabbed a hot teriyaki rice bowl. The dish had been sitting on a warmer and was hot. When I went to eat it the chicken was dry, hardly any teriyaki sauce and the the rice at the bottom and around the edges was dry and hard. Not very appetizing. I understand that the business model has changed in light of recent events, but this new hot food presentation isn't working for me.

I went to the Whole Foods in SLO even though it only got a 3 star rating. They are the only place where you can buy the Engine 2 products. I found this to be a wonderful place to shop. They have so many fresh offerings on their salad bar. I bought enough for two days for $8.99 per pound. They offer many vegan items and I had a vegan berry muffin to die for. It was full of fresh berries for $2.99. The place is light and bright and ever so inviting for shoppers. I felt I could stay there for hours just looking at all they offer. You are in for a treat, if you shop here. I can't wait to go back. It's like TJ's but ever so much better. I didn't consider it too expensive for what they offer.

SO MANY VEGAN BAKED GOODS!! Cookies, and donuts, and cake slices, oh my! Great selection of organic and vegan wines. You can see where my heart lies!

Usually have normal visits here but I felt the need to comment about my visit last night. My wife and I stopped by around 8:00 to get a quick dessert snack and went through the 15 items or less aisle. The cashier, who had zero interest in us or anything around her, scanned our items and gave us the total. My wife was having difficulty with the card reader working, and the cashier simply stood there with a clearly annoyed look on her face, offered no help or advice on what to do, and when we asked she scoffed and said "I don't know, probably try again". It was incredibly rude and unhelpful that this cashier clearly made her annoyance visible to us when we were buying 3 small items from the store. This review is solely based off the customer service of this store but I do hope this cashier learns how to not make their customers feel unwanted or inferior.

This place has gone down hill big time. Quality leaves something to be desired but worse then that is the customer service. Tried to get a meal at the deli, asked for the bison burger on their menu. The lady tells me that they no longer have it. She says they are out of most of the stuff on the menu. Trying to make the best of it I pointed to the specials board next to the register and tell them I'll take that, I am hungry,. she tells me she will check goes to the back comes out and says we are out of that as well. Doesn't seem to care and walks away. It is a shame because it used to be the best food and customer service back when it was new frontiers.

Whole Foods is not for everybody nor do they have everything. What they do have, however, is fantastic. And it is not cheap--you want cheap? Go to Food 4 Less. Personally, good food is important and I always appreciate quality ingredients, and I will overpay to get them. I understand that not everybody feels that way. I go to this Whole Foods for the fantastic fresh produce that they tend to have. One of my 'go tos' here are the organic Valencia Oranges that I use to make fresh squeezed orange juice; they are consistently the sweetest and and juiciest I have found in the area. Granted, a lot of the produce here is the same quality as can be found elsewhere and just costs more here. And so I just don't but that stuff here (garlic, onions, potatoes and so on) unless I am squeezed for time. And on other things (berries, tomatoes in season etc), the produce here is just better. The Butcher counter is also fantastic. Notably, fresh, whole Branzinos! -- that can only be found elsewhere at local fish markets and then only sometimes. They ALWAYS have it here. The meat cuts are always top shelf and the butchers will cut and trim anything just as you like it. The fact that they label there foods for sustainability is nice as well.

Getting used to the fresh new layout. I really like the sense of space and room to breathe instead of every nook and cranny jammed with product. Seeing some rotation of brands (new ones in, some went away). Wish there was a bit more parity with other Whole Foods stores (like great special coffee aisle as in the Los Altos store, and the immense produce selection as in the Cupertino/Stevens Creek store (qualifies as flagship, imho). The fresh jackfruit slices were amazing and a smart way to offer what is normally a huge-commitment fruit. ;-) (See pic) Glad to see the SLO store carries Olympia Provisions, (new?) brand of sausages I just discovered at the Cupertino store. This was INCREDIBLE. Austrian "Kasekrainer." Those Aussies know their smoked meats! Late 2019 Update: This location no longer carries Olympia Provisions. #sad

I am a regular here when I am in the area. My go to meal is sushi or an acai bowl with a bottle of Kambucha. I occasionally stop by the salad bar which is on the smallish side.

We came on Thanksgiving and were thoroughly disappointed. The hot food isles looked like jail food. No turkey legs (a past staple of Whole Foods) no stuffing. We left the store without purchasing a thing. Horrible holiday experience. San Luis Obispo is, by far, the worst Whole Foods market we've ever had the displeasure of visiting.

Very pleasant and enjoyable experience

Food bar is continually getting worse and worse. The hot bar is room temp at best and it's not like I took the food home to eat, I ate there. They have had the same Indian food for going on I think 6 weeks now. Like is that all they know? Started out pretty good but now very bland not fresh and poor quality. Don't know if it's a amazon thing but yuk. They put meat out that is like 50% fat. I mean trim that up. They put out something that says crispy in the title and it more like stale bread. Come on.
