Service and taste of food was excellent! Value when it came to the salad price fell short. $15.00 for a Cesar salad that only filled half the small bowl, to say this a shareable salad is a joke!! Add more lettuce!!! For the salad to be $15 and a big pizza be $20-25 just doesn't make sense. Food was excellent. Bit noisy as well but fun atmosphere.

Second time eating here and the food is consistently five stars. We had the chili, meatballs, little gem salad and roasted root vegetables. Little gem salad paired perfectly with the Vermentino. Completed the meal with the Bananas Foster and highly recommend saving room for this dessert!Rated the service 4 star as we felt rushed with our 9PM reservation and by 9:40 felt like the dynamics had shifted to making sure everyone was done and out by 10:00. Better to have a reservation earlier in the evening or just sit at the bar.Our server was quite attentive with a friendly demeanor.

Pizza is good, service was good. But a pricey meal. Not sure the medium sized pizzas are worth $25 each, but they tasted good. The place was very loud, which made conversation a little challenging.

I got to spend a lovely birthday at Bear & The Wren with my closest friends. The staff was amazing and attentive. They did a great job with our large group. I love spending all my special occasions there! Thank you so much!

Overall it was a good experience, not extraordinary, but nice. We had a reservation for 8:15 but weren't actually able to sit at our table until 8:50. We sat at the bar to have some wine and flatbread while we waited since we were very hungry. The service at the bar was 5 stars wonderful. When our table was ready we transitioned and the server was very surprised to see we already had part of an order of flatbread and an open bottle of wine—it was very apparent there was no communication between host staff and wait staff about the delay, etc. The food was lovely, but there seemed to be some managerial elements missing at the establishment that night. It was a nice date night, but would have been a difficult situation for a couple less go-with-the-flow.

We had a wonderful meal at Bear and Wren! Started with cauliflower app and the bread with ricotta and garlic confit...so yummy!! Then we got the little gem salad...the dressing was so punchy and flavorful! Finished off with the pepperoni pizza deep dish dolloped with yummy ricotta...what a treat!! We'll be back!!

We made reservations online easily and the hostess seated us at a perfect high top table in the bar area. The crowd was super friendly and the ambiance was upbeat and hip. We ordered a Detroit style Mediterranean pizza and added sausage and also ordered a cauliflower appetizer. Arguably, that was one of the most delicious pizzas that I have ever had! There are so many pizza places in town but this one was by far the most amazing wood fired pizza in our area!

Some of the best food ever! We had the Piada(about the most delicious thing we have ever eaten-do not miss), little gems salad (so good, and unique) and the med pizza with thin crust ( best pizza crust ever). Wish we lived in SLO so could go regularly.

First time at this restaurant and overall very impressed!! Food was really good. Tasted fresh and came hot and tasty. The menu is somewhat limited but we all loved what we chose. We had the beet salad and chicken pesto pizza, Detroit style. Portions were small for the price. Service was good.

Our experience at Bear and The Wren was overall a very good experience. The Bee Stang pizza is always a go to and always delicious. We ordered the Beet Salad as well, thinking that it was going to be a green salad topped with beets, but it was simply just beets and a few tangerine slices. That was a little disappointing, but overall the pizza is very delicious.

Finally decided to give this place a try and was not very impressed. While the food was pretty good, the service was definitely lacking. There was a rushed sense amongst the staff and it all seemed a bit unorganized. I was sat at a very small table that was seated very close to the bar the stools are very uncomfortable. Nothing makes me really want to go back. Plenty of better places with far better service.

Delicious pizza crust! Class act and the Piada sooo good if you can't get enough of their pizza dough/ crust. Cesar salad a little underwhelming dressing meh and the croutons were surprisingly salty. Service was great and the dessert was so yummm!

Food was absolutely delicious especially all of their Detroit Style Pizza's. The team was so kind and accommodating as well as the service was great, and food came out very quickly - would definitely recommend especially with their changing seasonal menu!

we had the bee stang pizza and it was delicious: a little spicy, a little sweet, the ricotta adding a gorgeous touch.however, the PIADA!! please! get! this! at first on the menu, it reads "bread with onion butter, ricotta, and garlic." and you think is it really worth $14 AND the carbs when i can use it on a pizza? (answer: yes, yes it is worth it).the ricotta and the butter cuts the richness of the scallions while married perfectly with the bread. two slices are enough. and there is plenty to share between three people. i'm not saying the pizza is bad, actually quite the contrary as i want to go back to try some more. but the piada is sooooo good i cannot remember eating anything else.
